"Happy Gilmore" stars Adam Sandler as Happy, a failed hockey player who enters a golfing tournament hoping to save his grandmother's house from the IRS. Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) is a spiteful, vain, insanely insecure golf player, scared that heavy-handed Happy just might take the prize. Shooter schemes, he cheats, he buys Happy's grandmother's house just for spite. Directed by Dennis Dugan (1996), the film won an MTV movie award for Best Fight. Happy gets into it with his golfing partner Bob Barker (played by Bob Barker). Bob was in his early seventies but declined a stunt double, punching out the impressive fight scene himself. "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006) stars Meryl Streep (Miranda Priestly), Anne Hathaway (Andy Sachs) and Stanley Tucci (Nigel), working on a high fashion "Runway" magazine, each with ambitions and no time of their own. Andy gives away her life to gain entry and approval, yet she suffers under Miranda's soft-spoken contempt, and her betrayal of those most loyal. From Miranda's Alaia red suede pumps to the Jimmy Choos for which Andy "sold her soul", shoes are vital to their high fashion standing. Streep earned multiple awards for her portrayal of this skilled yet diabolical character. Miranda: "Is there some reason my coffee isn't here? Has she died, or something?" "By all means move at a glacial pace". "Some hideous skirt convention you have to go to?"

In the first of a sometimes raunchy series "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" (1997) is played by comedian Mike Myers, who also plays the adorably evil Dr. Evil (Douglas Powers). Both Powers and Dr. Evil are unfrozen decades into the future, where Dr. Evil greatly amuses himself ordering assassinations and seeking global domination. Project Vulcan involves setting off volcanic destruction. Dr. Evil attended "evil medical school" at age 18, and later tap dancing, making him a "quadruple threat". Mike Myers and Demi Moore were among the producers. Dr. Evil: "I haven't laughed that hard since I was a little girl. Thank you".

In this sequel, "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" (2000) Eddie Murphy plays the sweet, smart and seriously obese Professor Sherman Klump, in love with Denise Gaines (Janet Jackson). Klump invents a youth formula which his DNA-creation, the lowlife cad Buddy Love, tries to steal and sell. Eddie Murphy displays his talents as multiple characters that Jerry Lewis helped write--the shy, obese Professor Sherman, the obnoxious, amorous Buddy Love, and 5 members of the Klump family. Peter Segal directed.

While Murphy won Funniest Actor for "The Nutty Professor", many critics found him too crass in this sequel. Buddy Love: "So that's where Sherman's hiding the formula! Klumpville. Chunky town...".

"Despicable Me 3" is the 3rd in the wildly successful 3D computer-animated movie series, directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda (2017). The film stars Steve Carrell voicing both reformed Anti-Villain Felonius Gru, and his long lost brother Dru, who craves a heist. Antagonist Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker) is a scrawny, outdated former child star who plots to exact revenge, furious that his TV show was cancelled in the 80s.

His weapons include bubble gum and dance fighting, and no one will ever mock his talents again! Silas: "Wait, that's not a monster, that's a man wearing shoulder pads! ...Balthazar Bratt!"

In "Ruthless People" (1986) vulgar baddie businessman Sam Stone (Danny DeVito, of "Taxi" fame) married Barbara (Bette Midler) for her money, but he has a hot mistress Carol (Anita Morris) and he wants rid of his wife now! When he gets home to off her, she's been kidnapped, much to his delight. But things don't go as he expects. Bill Pullman makes his film debut as Anita's nitwit boyfriend Earl.
Sam: "God, I hate that woman! I hate the way she licks stamps! I hate her furniture!"

Answer: His wit is fast and dark.

Rated R for strong violence and profane language, "Deadpool" (2016) won "Coolest Character of the Year", Best Comedy, Best Actor and some 20 other awards. A young mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) has terminal cancer, so he allows psychopath mutant "Ajax" Francis Freeman (Ed Skrein) to trick him into undergoing experiments.

These scar him horribly, give him super powers, and unleash a dark, twisted sense of humor. Coming back from the dead, Wade dons a superhero suit to hide his disfigurements, calls himself Deadpool, then goes after Ajax. Tim Miller directed. Deadpool: "I'm after someone on my naughty list. I've been waiting one year, three weeks, six days and oh, 14 minutes..."

"Boss Baby" (2017) is a DreamWorks film directed by Tim McGrath. Tim Templeton (voiced by Miles Bakshi) is a kid of 7 who grows jealous and suspicious when a baby gets out of a taxi wearing a suit, carries a briefcase, and snuggles up to his parents. Alec Baldwin voices Boss Baby, who is rude, spoiled, secretive and bossy, but Tim learns Boss Baby is actually a spy on a mission.

This film was predicted to flop, given its peculiar plot, but it did well. Boss Baby giving a power point presentation: "We babies are having a crisis! We aren't getting as much love as we used to. Behold the mortal enemy: puppies!"

Answer: Cat

Directed by Jay Roach (2000) "Meet the Parents" features an insecure nurse named Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Ben Stiller) who meets the parents of his fiancee Pam (Teri Polo). But Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) is a protective father and a disapproving former CIA agent.

He disdains Gaylord from the outset and does everything he can to trick, spy on and intimidate him, especially after Gaylord lies about and then loses Jack's cat Jinxy (the photo is of Cattails). The cat was played by two cats, who got more scenes because De Niro liked them so much. Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman are Gaylord's odd parents. Jim Carrey created the name Gaylord Focker, back when he and Steven Spielberg intended to do this film. Jack: "I will be watching you and if I find that you are trying to corrupt my first born child, I will bring you down, baby. I will bring you down to Chinatown".

The loathsome Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon) intends to marry Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright) the one true love of farmhand-turned-pirate Westley (Cary Elwes), who determines to rescue her from kidnappers and her ill-fated engagement in "The Princess Bride" (1987). Directed by Rob Reiner. Mandy Patinkin delights viewers as vengeful master swordsman Inigo Montoya, and Andre the Giant at 7'4" also stars.

This film made The Funniest, Most Passionate, Greatest Comedy, and Best Love Story movie lists, among others.
