As the song is sung, they turn back into their original selves. "Eleanor Rigby" and "Yellow Submarine" play at the very beginning of the movie, before the Beatles start their journey. "Only A Northern Song" is the third song that the Beatles sing while in the sea of science, and "Nowhere Man" is sung to Jeremy, Hillary, or Boob, after they pass through the sea of monsters. "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" is sung in the Foothills of the Headlands, and "Hey Bulldog" is the second-to-last song played, coming before "Too Much".

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Blackburn, Lancashire is a real place in England, yet in "A Day In The Life", that is where the holes are located, not what they are enough to fill.

The red coloring on the submarine, is the upper piping, the lenses on the telescopes at the top of the sub, and the propellers. The red also appears in the decorative design on the top section of the submarine which also includes blue and pink. The white outlines the telescopes.

The Beatles and their duplicates (the real Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band) try to outwit an evil clown and his strange pet bulldog. A bone is used by John to taunt the dog. Later, he gives the stick of dynamite to one of the dog's heads, the dog heads pass the dynamite around until one sticks it into the clown's mouth.
