Edmund O'Brien is magnificent as Freddie Sykes, the man who provides the getaway transportation for the gang. Sam Peckinpah directs this film about a group of outlaws who attempt one last robbery before calling it quits.

Answer: Spartacus

Laurence Olivier deftly plays the domineering Crassus, a Roman general who challenges the slave revolt started by his nemesis Spartacus (Kirk Douglas). Varinia (Jean Simmons) is a slave girl who, though originally in the hands of the obsequious Lentulus Batiatus (Oscar winner Peter Ustinov), comes to fall in love with fellow slave Spartacus.

Answer: Star Wars

'Star Wars' is a story that takes place an extraordinary length of time in the very distant past. It's in a galaxy whose distance, as calculated from Earth, exceeds any length that individuals such as ourselves could possibly imagine. Oh yeah, and in the film two chaps named Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) seek to rescue the captured Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from the evil clutches of the malevolent Darth Vader.

Answer: Pulp Fiction

'Pulp Fiction' is a veritable pastiche of stories and characters, interwoven masterfully by pop-icon/director Quentin Tarantino. The film finds focus with several important characters, namely Vincent Vega (John Travolta), a hit man working for a certain Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames). Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) is a nearly washed out boxer, who is paid to fix a fight by this self-same Mr. Wallace.

When things go slightly awry with the plan, crazy fireworks ensue between the above-mentioned individuals.

Answer: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Just as the title suggests, there are three forces at work in this film, the 'Good', represented by Clint Eastwood, aka Blondie, the 'Bad', portrayed accurately by Lee Van Cleef, aka Angel Eyes, and the 'Ugly', a character of questionable values named Tuco, played to great comic effect by Eli Wallach.

The film involves the interactions among these three characters, each of whom single-mindedly pursues a large cache of gold hidden in a secret location.

Answer: 12 Angry Men

'12 Angry Men' is the story of 12 jurors who have been selected to decide on what seems like an open and shut case. But wait, Juror #8 (Henry Fonda) goes and throws a monkey wrench in the works by considering the possibility of reasonable doubt. Beginning with Juror #9 (Joseph Sweeney), he tries to convince each juror, one by one, that the young man on trial may not have the word 'guilty' stamped across his forehead.

In the end, even the most stubborn jurors, for example Juror #3 (Lee J. Cobb) are forced to confront the possibility that Juror #8 is correct.

By the way, at the very end of the film we learn the surnames of jurors eight and nine.

Answer: Fight Club

'Fight Club' is the story about a frustrated company man who suddenly finds himself as the leader of a subversive group of individuals attempting to tear down the fabric of modern society. Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) is a mysterious and carefree chap who befriends the narrator (played by Ed Norton), while Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter) plays his lady interest. Robert Paulson (Meatloaf) is one of the first recruits in 'Project Mayhem'.

Answer: A Clockwork Orange

Malcolm MacDowell, as Alexander de Large, is a lawless youth whose only pleasures come from subverting society in every way he sees fit. Georgie (James Marcus) and Dim (Warren Clarke) are Alex's erstwhile friends and followers (aka Droogs) who eventually overthrow their malevolent leader. This frightening dark comedy is brilliantly directed by Stanley Kubrick.
