Answer: Thomas McCarthy

McCarthy, a native of New Jersey, was cast as Gordon Silberman. Gordon worked as a plastic surgeon while wooing Jackson Curtis's ex-wife, Kate. Jackson and Kate had two children, Noah and Lilly, with whom Gordon built a good relationship throughout the movie.

In Gordon's spare time, he often liked to fly and hoped to one day be experienced in the craft. Gordon used a plane to take the Curtis family, including Jackson, to Yellowstone National Park in order to retrieve a map to locate arks in China.

While there, the park began to collapse due to the strange weather phenomenon and Gordon got Kate, Shelly and Noah into his plane with Jackson still behind them. Jackson worked as a science fiction novelist as well as a part time limo driver while he shared custody of his two kids with Kate. One day, he took his two children for a camping trip at Yellowstone National Park where they encountered a man who claimed to have a map of a federally funded ark project. Jackson learned the ark project would house many people in the event of an apocalyptic disaster.

When they went back home in California, Jackson and the kids noticed the city of Los Angeles being ravaged by disaster so they got Gordon and Kate to escape the destroyed city.

While Jack, Gordon, Kate, Lilly and Noah were on the plane, Jack realized they would need a bigger airplane in order to get to the ark project. Cusack was seen in the films "Runaway Jury", "Must Love Dogs" and "Con Air".

Peet, born in 1972 in New York City, played Kate Curtis. Kate was at home one day with Gordon and the kids when she received an urgent call from Jack. He urged Kate to pack her things up as he would be at her home in a few minutes and this puzzled Kate.

She told Jack it was Saturday, which meant Noah had music lessons and Lilly had karate. He told her he rented a plane so they could get out of California before it got destroyed so Kate informed him the governor claimed all would be alright but Jack urged her not to listen to him since he was an actor and likely read from a script. Kate did not want to listen to this anymore so she hung up the phone. Kate soon realized Jack was right to warn her as the state began to suffer from a severe earthquake, culminating in its permanent collapse into the Pacific Ocean. Ejiofor, born on July 10th, 1974 in London, England, landed the role of Dr. Adrian Helmsley. Adrian worked as a geologist and served as a science advisor to the President when he informed him the Earth's crust's temperature would increase, therefore setting off multiple natural disasters.

He gathered this data about the Earth's crust while working with a scientist in India where both of them could not believe what they were seeing. Adrian was seen boarding Air Force One with Laura Wilson, the President's daughter, and Carl Anheuser, the President's Chief of Staff, heading for China to take shelter at the arks there. Adrian heard from a colleague that an earthquake which struck Southern California registered at a 10.9 on the Richter Scale. Ejiofor portrayed characters in the movies "Salt", "American Gangster" and "Inside Man".

Newton was cast as Dr. Laura Wilson in "2012". Laura was President Wilson's daughter and played a significant role in having art collectibles gathered and stored in the Himalayas to protect them. In one scene, Laura went to talk to her father when she told him the Director of The Louvre had just been killed with news of it all over the television. President Wilson then introduced her to Dr.

Helmsley when Laura corrected him by saying she and Dr. Helmsley had just met at The White House. In a private moment with Dr.

Helmsley, he told Laura about his childhood when his father would demand he read a bunch of books and give him ice cream after he completed each read. Laura expressed doubt over his story but Dr. Helmsley said he did too much reading in high school and no dating. Laura related to Dr.

Platt, born on January 12th, 1960 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, portrayed Carl Anheuser. Carl worked in the Wilson Administration as Chief of Staff and spoke with Dr. Adrian Helmsley about how to aid the American people once the cataclysmic event happened.

In one scene, Carl spoke to Dr. Helmsley about developing a timeline to respond to the event and Dr. Helmsley reminded him they needed to let the American people know what was happening. Carl informed him his job was to tell the people about what would happen while he attempted to help retain government operations in the wake of the natural disasters. Carl, Dr.

Helmsley and Laura all got on Air Force One to head for the ark projects in China with President Wilson addressing the American people back at The White House.

As President Wilson and the Vice President died while the Speaker of the House went missing, Carl assumed the reigns of the Presidency. Platt had roles in the movies "Beethoven", "A Time to Kill" and "Frost/Nixon".

Lilly looked back in the mirror and noticed an ash cloud coming closer but Jack told her not to look at it. Glover, born in 1946 in San Francisco, California, landed the role of President Thomas Wilson. President Wilson realized that the scientific data Dr. Helmsley provided him was accurate on a major cataclysmic event coming which would threaten the world.

He spoke about how he was first apprised of the alarming information six months before the disaster hit Earth and it likely meant the world would come to an end. President Wilson had the opportunity to get on Air Force One to seek safety at the arks in China but felt obligated to stay behind at The White House to address the American people about the disasters unfolding.

He called Laura up to let her know he felt pleased to know his daughter would at the very least survive the disaster. President Wilson died when an aircraft carrier careened into The White House during the cataclysmic event. Glover was seen in the films "The Color Purple", "Lethal Weapon 2" and "Lethal Weapon 3".

Answer: Liam James

James was cast as Noah Curtis in "2012". Noah was excited to go on a camping trip with his father, Jackson, and sister, Lilly, to Yellowstone National Park and it was on the car ride over there when Jack said to them the place meant a lot to him. He informed both Noah and Lilly that Yellowstone was a place where he and their mother frequented often while they were married. Noah responded to Jack that he was not interested to hear the locations where he and mom made out, then referred to his father as "Jackson". Jack told Noah there was nothing wrong with calling him "Dad". Later on in the film, Noah, Jack, Lilly, Kate and Gordon went to Las Vegas to charter a big plane from a billionaire named Yuri. During a brief talk with Yuri, Noah commented on how nice and huge the plane was when Yuri stated it was a Russian plane. James had roles in the movies "Fred Claus", "Good Luck Chuck" and "Horseman".

Harrelson, born on July 23rd, 1961 in Midland, Texas, played Charlie Frost. Charlie hosted a radio show from Yellowstone National Park and that was where he met Jack, Lilly and Noah. Charlie spoke to Jack about his belief that the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar projected of a huge storm to come in 2012.

He told him he had a map to get to the ark project to go to safety. He also mentioned to Jack about how the government murdered scientists and other officials who warned of the event. Charlie perished in the hills of Yellowstone National Park during the disaster which struck there. Harrelson starred in the films "White Men Can't Jump", "North Country" and "The People vs. Larry Flynt".
