Snipes, born on July 31st, 1962 in Orlando, Florida was cast as Flipper Purify. Flipper spoke to Angela Tucci, in one scene, and asked her if she was Italian. She replied that she was, since it was apparent by her surname that she could not be anything else. Flipper asked her if she preferred being called Angela or by another name, so she mentioned she would prefer Angie.

She then asked Flipper about his peculiar first name but he refused to elaborate in depth on its meaning, stating he got it from his father. Flipper asked Angie if she had ever worked in an architectural firm before, so Angie answered she had not but her ability to learn quickly would serve the company well. Flipper then spoke to his superior and said that he wanted an African American, not an Italian, to replace a former employee at the company. Lee, a native of Atlanta, Georgia played Cyrus. Cyrus got some exercising going in one scene, while he donned a sweatshirt that he got from Morehouse College. Cyrus then noticed Flipper nearby so he asked him if he had any gum. Flipper then got out a pack of gum and gave a piece to Cyrus.

They got to talking and Cyrus mentioned he was going up to 25 miles, according to the reading on the bike and Flipper commented he was a black man surviving in white corporate America. Cyrus responded how he did not know how Flipper managed to undergo the stress at his job. Flipper in turn stated he was shocked Cyrus could exercise as strenuously as he did. Lee had roles in the films, "Malcolm X", "Do the Right Thing" and "Summer of Sam".

Webb portrayed Vera. Vera sat down to rest and Cyrus finished up his exercising so he could sit down with her. The two of them kissed. Cyrus then commented that Vera taking birth control seemed to make some parts of her body look larger than they were. Vera asked Cyrus if he got the prescription that she asked him to pick up, but he claimed not to have gotten it. Cyrus then spoke to Vera about wanting to have kids with her.

She reminded him that she just got a promotion at her job, therefore it was not the best time to begin a family. Vera also encouraged Cyrus to go back to school for a little bit prior to beginning a family. Webb was seen in the movies, "Dirty Laundry", "In Too Deep" and "For Love or Money".

McKee, born in 1954 in Detroit, Michigan landed the role of Drew. Drew was Flipper's girlfriend and the two of them were seen early on, preparing dinner. Drew said Flipper did great at his job, since he made the architectural firm lots of money. Flipper, in response, said the reason they had a huge monetary account there was thanks to him. Drew reminded Flipper that his superiors might deny his proposal, so to be prepared for it. Flipper expressed the unlikelihood of that possibility, so Drew concurred the company's superiors likely would not reject his proposal. Flipper commented on how he deserved any benefit the company offered him, with Drew concurring. Drew promised Flipper that she would not say anything negative connected to his job. McKee guest starred on the TV series', "Half & Half", "L.A. Law" and "Miami Vice".

Davis, a native of Cogdell, Georgia was cast as Reverend Purify. Reverend Purify spoke to Lucinda Purify while they relaxed in their living room and mentioned his opinion that a man never should touch a woman inappropriately. Reverend Purify also mentioned that it was his belief that every woman should have her own husband and every husband his own wife.

After Reverend Purify got out of his chair and noticed his son, Gator, in his home, he told Lucinda that Gator was not allowed in the home. Reverend Purify asked her how much money Gator wanted this time but Lucinda informed him that Gator was not seeking financial assistance. Dee portrayed Lucinda Purify in "Jungle Fever". In one scene, Lucinda heard her doorbell ring and went to go answer it. She was happy to see that it was her and Reverend Purify's son, Gator, at the door. She told him that he was welcome to come inside, but to be quiet since his father was relaxing. Lucinda told Gator that she would fix him something to eat, since he did not look well but Gator assured her that he felt fine. Lucinda asked Gator if he had been eating regularly lately, to which he said that he ate like a horse. Gator mentioned he was not hungry at the moment, so he would have a snack to tide him over but Lucinda reminded him that was not healthy for him. Gator told his mother that he was also clean, so she did not have to worry about him anymore. Dee guest starred on the TV shows, "Touched by an Angel", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "The Golden Girls".

Jackson, born in 1948 in Washington, D.C. played Gator Purify. Gator spoke to his mother, Lucinda, at her home about how he had recently gotten a job offer but there was a catch to the job. The catch was that Gator had to come up with $100 to pay the application fee or else the job would go to someone else. Lucinda accused Gator of trying to play her for a fool but Gator insisted he was being honest with her, since he liked how Lucinda was a caring person. Gator asked his mother if she could give him $100 for the application fee so she insisted that he ask his father for the money. Lucinda then changed her mind and got $100 for Gator so he could get the job.

He kissed her on the cheek as a thank you for her generosity. Jackson played characters in the hit films, "A Time to Kill", "Jurassic Park" and "Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith".

Berry, born on August 14th, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio landed the role of Vivian. Vivian was Gator's girlfriend and he introduced her to Cyrus and Flipper, down by the basketball courts one evening. Gator informed Vivian that Cyrus was Flipper's main man and then asked Cyrus to remind him again what he did. Cyrus then informed both Gator and Vivian that he taught high school but had to get going. Cyrus told Vivian that he was pleased to have met her and then he took off. Gator then asked Vivian if he could give him and Flipper some time alone, since he wanted to get reacquainted with him, as Flipper was his brother. Vivian started to argue with Gator, until he offered her a cigarette to smoke. Berry was seen in the movies, "Losing Isaiah", "Executive Decision" and "Monster's Ball".

Answer: Queen Latifah

Queen Latifah, a native of Newark, New Jersey was cast as Lashawn. Lashawn worked as a waitress and was first seen repeating two customers' orders to ensure their accuracy. Lashawn walked by Flipper and Angie's table and Flipper informed her that they wanted to order, since they had not been serviced yet despite having been sitting for a while. Lashawn then got out a pen and paper to take Flipper's order, until Flipper started giving her attitude, so she turned to Angie to ask her what she wanted. Flipper interrupted her to ask if she had a problem, so Lashawn commented how she disliked the fact Flipper took a white woman out to eat at that restaurant and that was why she was disgusted with him. Flipper asked Lashawn to get him her manager so she acquiesced to his request. Queen Latifah starred in the films, "Chicago", "Bringing Down the House" and "The Perfect Holiday".

Randle portrayed Inez in "Jungle Fever". Inez was seen midway through the film having a conversation with several friends about interracial relationships. Inez commented that their prejudicial attitudes against white women only induced self hatred, so one friend piped in with claims of Inez not dating anyone.

Inez stated she dated men of any race, including white. Inez said that she knew her friends wanted her only to date black men, despite how her interests were not just limited to the black race.

Inez commented that the best type of man was nice to her, sweet to her and truly loved her and that could come from any man. Inez joked with Drew that she could make her happy by going to Africa to find her the hottest looking male tribesman.
