Answer: Sean Astin

Astin, born on February 25th, 1971 in Santa Monica, California, was cast as Michael "Mikey" Walsh. Mikey's parents' home was being foreclosed so his friends came over the day prior to their move to hang out. Mikey's mother came home and informed his older brother, Brandon, to not let Mikey outside due to his asthma.

In one scene, Mikey and his friends (who called themselves "Goonies") went up to his parents' attic and found a map leading to the treasure of a pirate named One Eyed Willie. Mikey and his friends ganged up on Brandon, restrained him and went out to have some fun. Mikey and his friends came upon an abandoned restaurant and, unbeknownst to them when they first saw the place, it was the hideout of the Fratellis, a family wanted by the police. Once inside the restaurant, Mikey and his friends found a flier which stated who the Fratelli's were but, before they could get out of the restaurant, the Fratelli's came back.

They hid in a hole under the fireplace and then soon followed a path which eventually led them to One Eyed Willie's treasure. Astin starred in the movies "Click", "Courage Under Fire" and "Bulworth".

Answer: Kerri Green

Green, a native of Fort Lee, New Jersey, played Andrea "Andy "Carmichael. For Andy's first scene, we saw her leading a cheerleading routine and congratulating her fellow cheerleaders for learning it rather quickly. When Brandon got on a tricycle to find Mikey and his friends, Andy rode in the passenger seat of Troy's car and they saw Brandon. Andy asked Brandon if he needed a ride, which he declined. Andy saw Brandon, Mikey and the rest of the Goonies at the abandoned restaurant but all were unable to leave the place before the Fratelli's came back. Prior to getting to One Eyed Willie's ship, the Goonies needed to open up a door and could only do so by playing the correct piano notes, which they found on the back of One Eyed Willie's treasure map. Annie, who had taken some piano lessons, played the notes so they could go through the door and to the ship. Green guest starred on the TV series "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit", "Murder, She Wrote" and "Mad About You".

Answer: Josh Brolin

Brolin, born in 1968 in Los Angeles, California, got the part of Brandon "Brand" Walsh in "The Goonies". Mrs. Walsh, Brand's mother, instructed him to keep a close eye on Mikey and the other "Goonies" and ensure they not leave the house while she went to the supermarket. Mikey and the "Goonies" tied Brand to a chair so they could leave the house and go have fun. To catch up to them, Brand stole a young girl's tricycle since one of Mikey's friends, Clark (known as "Mouth"), let the air out of Brand's bike's tires.

When Andy walked the plank of One Eyed Willie's ship, Brand dived into the water to rescue her. Once he did and pulled her to a safe spot, they shared a kiss. Brolin acted in the films "W.", "No Country for Old Men" and "Hollow Man".

In 2009, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dan White in "Milk" but lost to Heath Ledger of "The Dark Kight". Other Oscar nominees for Best Supporting Actor that year were Philip Seymour Hoffman for "Doubt", Michael Shannon for "Revolutionary Road" and Robert Downey Jr. for "Tropic Thunder".

Answer: Martha Plimpton

Plimpton won the part of Stephanie "Stef" Steinbrenner for this movie. Stef was Andy's best friend and both of them rode with Troy right before they saw the "Goonies" at the abandoned restaurant. While on the way to One Eyed Willie's pirate ship, Stef commented on how immature the "Goonies" were and it was as if she was babysitting them but not getting paid.

In one scene, Brand removed a rock and discovered a hole in a wall and Stef advised him that it was a bad idea since God put it there for a reason. Just as soon as she said this, many bats swarmed the "Goonies" and Stef freaked out since she was worried the bats had rabies.

When the "Goonies" found a waterfall and discovered pennies, they wanted to take them but Stef advised them against this.

Her reasoning was people threw those pennies down there as luck so that their wishes would eventually come true. Plimpton guest starred on the TV shows "Medium", "Grey's Anatomy" and "ER".

Answer: Jeff Cohen

Cohen, born on June 25th, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, was cast as Lawrence "Chunk" Cohen in "The Goonies". Chunk had a reputation for fibbing and being able to get out of trouble. In his first scene, Chunk witnessed a police chase while eating pizza and he made a mess of himself.

He went over to Mikey's house and asked to be let in and Clark (known as "Mouth") told him to do a dance in order to gain entry. Chunk obliged and then more of the other "Goonies" arrived at Mikey's home. When Chunk and the other "Goonies" went to the basement of the abandoned restaurant, he smelled ice cream and opened up the freezer where it was located. Unfortunately for him, there was also a dead body in there and it was when the "Goonies" ran away from it that Chunk wound up locked inside the freezer. Chunk managed to get out of the freezer but it was after the "Goonies" climbed into a hole below the fireplace. Mikey told Chunk to go to the police and inform them of the Fratellis' whereabouts. On the way to the police station, Chunk asked a driver for help (there was no light on in the car so he could not make out the driver's face) and, when he described the Fratellis to him, the driver turned on the lights and it was Jake Fratelli. Chunk started to scream and run but Jake's brother, Francis, caught him and put him in the back of their car.

The Fratellis tied Chunk to a chair in the same room where they kept their older brother, Lotney "Sloth", in chains. When Chunk saw his deformed face, he screamed but then befriended Sloth once he saw that he was actually a nice man. Sloth and Chunk managed to break free and went to go help the "Goonies". At the end of the movie, Chunk told Sloth he would come live with him so he could take of him and they hugged. Cohen had guest starring stints on the TV series "Webster", "The Facts of Life" and "Family Ties".

Answer: Anne Ramsey

Ramsey, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, played Mama Fratelli in "The Goonies". In the opening scene, Mama and her son, Francis, helped her oldest son, Jake, escape from the county jail. When Jake broke out, Mama drove the car back to the abandoned restaurant and that was where she encountered the "Goonies". All of them asked for some water so Mama told them to sit down and she would get it for them. Mikey asked Mama where the bathroom was so she informed him it was down the stairs and to the right. Mama and the Fratelli boys pursued the "Goonies" as they made their way to his ship and eventually caught them there.

When Andy called Mama a "witch", she made her walk the ship's plank first with her hands bound. Mama and the Fratelli boys were arrested by the authorities in the closing scenes. Ramsey played characters in the films "Scrooged", "Say Yes" and "Any Which Way You Can".

She passed away on August 11th, 1988 at the age of 58.

Quan, born in 1971 in Saigon, Vietnam, portrayed Richard "Data" Wang in the movie. Data was a "Goonie" and had many gadgets on him which assisted the "Goonies" in their quest to find One Eyed Willie's treasure. In one scene, they walked across a log and Data was the last one to cross.

While on the log, Data pressed a button to open up the bottom heels of his shoes to spray oil on the log, which caused the Fratelli boys to slip once they walked across it. When Andy played the piano notes to get them closer to the ship, the Fratelli boys almost nabbed the "Goonies" but Data stopped him with one of his gadgets. Quan starred in the movies "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", "Encino Man" and "Breathing Fire".

Answer: Mary Ellen Trainor

Trainor had the small part of Harriet Walsh, Mikey and Brand's mother, in "The Goonies". In her first scene, she came home and saw her children and the "Goonies" at her home and introduced them to Rosalita, whom she hired to help them pack their luggage so they could move out of their home.

She informed them all how Rosalita spoke only Spanish but Clark informed her he knew Spanish very well. When Harriet took Rosalita around the house and told Clark to translate her words to her in Spanish, Clark translated it incorrectly and told Rosalita they had marijuana and torture devices in the house. Harriet informed her children and the other "Goonies" she was going to the supermarket and would not be back for another hour. Trainor played guest starring characters on the TV shows "Tales from the Crypt", "Crazy Like a Fox" and "Cheers".

Answer: Steve Antin

Antin, born on April 19th, 1958 in Queens, New York, was cast as Troy Perkins for the movie. Troy loved Andy and was jealous that she appeared to like Brand more than him. In one scene, Troy drove his car with Andy in the passenger seat and Stef in the back seat.

They came upon Brand riding a tricycle and he stopped the car so Andy could talk to him. When Brand declined riding in Troy's car to find Mikey and the other "Goonies", Troy grabbed his hand and sped up his car, causing the tricycle to break and Brand to be injured.

When Troy went to the country club in one scene, he went to the bathroom but it flooded. When Troy and his friends hung out at a well in one scene, they spoke about Andy so Troy threw a penny down the well with a wish that Andy would love him.

The "Goonies" saw the penny drop and threw it back up to get Troy's attention. Troy agreed to send down a bucket to have them climb up and out of the well. Andy decided she would go first but Mikey talked her out of it and they all agreed to continue to look for One Eyed Willie's ship. Andy decided she would put a jacket in the bucket to let Troy know she would not come to him.

When Troy figured out that Annie would not come up, he screamed. Antin had parts in the films "It's My Party", "Drive" and "The Last American Virgin".

Answer: Lupe Ontiveros

Ontiveros, a native of El Paso, Texas, had the small part of Rosalita in "The Goonies". Rosalita spoke Spanish and was in just a couple of scenes. In her first scene, after Clark lied to her about the Walsh's house being full of marijuana and torture devices, she remarked in Spanish how the family was crazy.

When Brand tried to get Rosalita to untie him from the chair, she just smiled at him and walked away. In the final scene, Rosalita opened up a small bag which had jewels in it from One Eyed Willie's ship. Right at this time, Mr. Walsh had a pen in hand and was about to sign papers agreeing to the foreclosure on his home. Rosalita yelled to him in Spanish to not sign the papers and Clark translated what she said and he prevented Mr. Walsh from signing. Rosalita revealed the jewels and Mr. Walsh deduced he could pay off his home with what the jewels were worth so he ripped up the papers. Ontiveros guest starred on the TV series "Weeds", "Caroline in the City" and "Punky Brewster".
