Answer: Battlefield Earth

Before he directed "Battlefield Earth", Roger Christian had a stellar resume, with an Academy Award nomination for "Alien" and an Oscar statue for "Star Wars". "Battlefield Earth" was a complete clunker for Christian, as he and the film won several Golden Raspberry Awards: Worst Director, Worst Picture, Worst Picture of the Decade, and Worst Drama of for the first 25 years of Golden Raspberry awards.

In this picture, Travolta played a Psychlo, a race of giants that had taken over Earth and enslaved humans. Canadian Barry Pepper co-starred as Jonnie Goodboy Tyler, a human who led a rebellion against the Psychlos.

"Glitter" was supposed to be a vehicle for Mariah Carey, whose career had been on the ascent for several years. With this film, it came to hard stop. In later interviews, Carey indicated that she believed the movie suffered because its soundtrack was released on September 11th, 2001, the day of the terrorist attacks on the United States. The movie was a flop with critics and Carey won the 22nd Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress.

Answer: The Love Guru

Mike Myers may have been named an Officer of the Order of Canada, but his movie about a love guru named Pitka earned five Golden Raspberry nominations and three wins. Myers himself won the award for Worst Actor, beating Larry the Cable Guy, Eddie Murphy, Al Pacino, and Mark Wahlberg.

Answer: The Adventures of Pluto Nash

In this movie, Eddie Murphy played Pluto Nash, who has opened a popular nightclub on the moon. He and his love interest, played by Rosario Dawson, ran into trouble with the mob in the dystopian film. There was also Pluto's clone convulsing the plot even more.

This movie falls in a low point in Murphy's professional career, as it was after the successful "Beverly Hills Cop" and before the hit "Dreamgirls".

Answer: Basic Instinct 2

The first "Basic Instinct" received praise for its intensity and visual style; its sequel received a big thumbs down from critics, and the audiences stayed away as well. The box office numbers were dismal. Even actors stayed away --it was reportedly difficult for the filmmakers to find a male lead.

In this movie, Stone's Catherine Tramell was up to her mind-playing games. After being suspected of killing a man, she was sent to see a psychiatrist who conducted a mental exam. Only she turned the tables on the doctor and more dead bodies keep showing up as fact and fiction blurred.

Answer: Gigli

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were one of the first super couples that commanded expansive and invasive media coverage, so much so that they were lumped together as "Bennifer" for much of their 18-month relationship. The tanking of "Gigli", which earned multiple Razzies, probably did not enhance their relationship. They cancelled their elaborately-prepared wedding and broke up a few months after the movie's release.

In this movie, Ben starred as Gigli, a mobster who really didn't like violence but was sent to kidnap an innocent man in order to manipulate a federal prosecutor who was prosecuting the mob family's boss, played by Al Pacino. His partner in crime was was played by Jennifer Lopez.

Answer: Land of the Lost

Will Ferrell, California native and "Saturday Night Live" alum, is one of Hollywood's most prolific comedic actors, but "Land of the Lost", in which he starred as a self-important paleontologist, was a dud. The movie, which did not recoup in U.S. theaters the cost of its production, followed the story of Dr. Marshall when he and his cohorts and pulled into a time warp and need to outrun and outsmart a variety of dangers.

This film earned several Razzie nominations, including Worst Director, Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actor. It won the Razzie for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.

Answer: Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo

It was a bit surprising that the sequel to 1999's "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" was ever made, considering how poor the reviews were for that film. But "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" was made in 2005 and received even lower critical ratings; Roger Ebert gave it zero stars out of five. The movie followed the Deuce on a trip to Amsterdam, where he, naturally, had to solve a murder.

Answer: Chuck & Larry

"I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" wasn't just panned; some critics said it was offensive as well as actively bad. The plot involved two heterosexual firefighters, played by Adam Sandler and Kevin James, who became official domestic partners in an ill-conceived plan to obtain life insurance.

It grew complicated when women stepped up to disavow the friends' claim of homosexuality. Even successful actors such as Ving Rhimes, Jessica Alba, and Steve Buscemi couldn't save this piece.

Answer: Dukes of Hazzard

While the television series "The Dukes of Hazzard" was highly rated in its day, the film, which used different actors than the series, was a critical flop. It was nominated for multiple Razzies, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Supporting Actress, and Worst Remake. Jessica Simpson, who starred as Daisy, won the Choice Breakout Female at the Teen Choice Awards.
