Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Wreck-it Ralph is the bad guy in his game at Litwak's Family Fun Center and Arcade. His job is to wreck the building so the hero can fix the damage. What is the name of Ralph's game?

Answer: Fix-it Felix, Jr.

Felix is named after his father, Fix-it Felix, which is why the hero in Ralph's game is called Fix-it Felix, Jr. Fix-it Felix, Jr. is one of the oldest games in Mr. Litwak's arcade. It has been there since the arcade opened 30 years ago. As the movie opens, Ralph is telling other bad guys in a "Bad-Anon" meeting that after 30 years, he's tired of being the bad guy.

He says that because no one in his game likes him, he wants to be the hero. He sets out to prove he has what it takes to be a hero and win a medal.
2. After the arcade closes, Ralph goes to another arcade game to have a drink and get some advice from the bartender. Which game involves playing as the bartender to give as many customers root beer as possible?

Answer: Tapper

Tapper is both the name of the game, and the bartender who is controlled by players in the game. Ralph asks Tapper if he knows of a place he could get a medal. Tapper tells Ralph that since he's a bad guy, it's not likely he would get one, but says he is welcome to look through the Lost and Found.

While looking through the Lost and Found, Ralph encounters a soldier from another game and takes his place to try and win a medal.
3. Ralph enters a third game and tries to get to the top of a building while fighting an entire swarm of cybugs. What game requires players to fight cybugs in order to win their medal?

Answer: Hero's Duty

At the beginning of the movie, Ralph says that after 30 years, he's seen a lot of games come and go. Centipede and Asteroids were two games that had come and gone over the years. Frogger is still in the arcade, but he only makes a brief appearance in Game Central Station.

After getting his medal, Ralph accidentally steps on a cybug egg and triggers an escape pod. Ralph, the cybug, and the shuttle bounce around Game Central Station and shoot into yet another game.
4. After crashing the escape pod, the cybug is thrown into a taffy swamp and Ralph begins to explore the game he has crash-landed in. This racing game is made up of candy and sweets and is ruled by King Candy. What is the name of this game?

Answer: Sugar Rush

Sugar Rush is the newest racing game in Litwak's arcade. Nine racers are available for players to play each day. The avatars race each other through the sweet, sugar-filled landscape of Sugar Rush every day. The ruler of Sugar Rush, King Candy, has the avatars race to determine which nine racers will be represented the next day in the arcade.

The further Ralph goes into the game, the more he realizes, that Sugar Rush is holding a not-so-sweet secret.
5. King Candy's right hand man...er...candy, not only is extremely sour, hence his name, but also appears to have a sour attitude. A very low key candy, his lack of emotion, in comparison to King Candy's bubbly personality, makes for a rather fun pairing. What color is Sour Bill?

Answer: Green

The first time we see Sour Bill, he is introducing King Candy before the Random Roster Race. During King Candy's rule, Ralph discovered that Vanellope Von Schweetz, a racer he befriends in Sugar Rush, was never meant to be a glitch. Sour Bill informs Ralph (through some tasty torture) that Vanellope was at one point a real racer, until Candy tried to delete her code, making her a glitch. Even though the memories of the citizens and racers had been locked up, Sour Bill does know that if Vanellope races and crosses the finish line, Sugar Rush will reset. King Candy will do anything to keep Von Schweetz from racing.
6. While tracking down the cybug Ralph accidentally brought with him to Sugar Rush, Fix-it Felix and Sergeant Calhoun unknowingly step onto a double striped candy tree limb. As with all double stripes, it breaks and sends the pair into a pit of Nesquick sand. Using vines that drop down to them, they are pulled back out safely. From what sweet treat are the vines made?

Answer: Laffy Taffy

After falling into the Nesquick sand, Felix panics, making himself sink faster. Calhoun punches him in the face to make him stop, and in the process, make the vines of Laffy Taffy laugh at them. Laffy Taffy are attracted to whatever makes them laugh, so Calhoun continues to punch Felix in the face. Felix fixes the damage on his face with his hammer after each punch.

While they laugh, the taffy vines drop lower and lower, and eventually drop low enough for Felix and Calhoun to grab them.
7. While escaping from King Candy in Vanellope's new car, she tells Ralph to head for a certain part of the game's landscape. Hidden from view, Vanellope's home lies deep inside what part of Sugar Rush?

Answer: Diet Cola Mountain

Vanellope lives inside Diet Cola Mountain, which is also home to Diet Cola Hot Springs. To get to Vanellope's home, she walks or drives through the wall of the mountain right between two sugar-free lollipops. The entrance is hidden to anyone who doesn't know it's there.

It also contains a bonus level for the game that was never finished, and is where Vanellope learns how to drive. Watch out for falling Mentos!
8. After talking to King Candy, Ralph believes that Candy is trying to protect Vanellope by not allowing her to race. He destroys her car and goes home to find the game abandoned. Mad at himself he throws the medal away. Shortly after, he finds out Vanellope was originally a part of the Sugar Rush before King Candy took over. How did he find out?

Answer: Vanellope's picture is on the game console.

After he throws his medal against the inside of the Fix-it Felix, Jr." game screen, the "Out of Order" sign falls off to one side, allowing Ralph to see the Sugar Rush game console. On the side of the console is a picture of Vanellope Von Schweetz. Ralph knows that someone who is not supposed to exist would not have their picture permanently on the game console.

He returns to Sugar Rush and confronts Sour Bill, and finds out the truth about King Candy.
9. Ralph and Felix break Vanellope out of jail, and with her newly repaired car(compliments of Felix), she enters the Random Roster Race. She passes King Candy, who does everything he can to stop her. While they fight, Vanellope glitches and causes King Candy's true code to be revealed. Who is King Candy?

Answer: Turbo

Turbo was originally a character from an old game called Turbo Time, which was the most popular game when the arcade first opened. He was the best racer there was, and he loved the attention. He was extremely jealous when another racing game became more popular than his.

He abandoned Turbo Time, and tried to take over the new game. In doing so, he put both the new game and his own game out of order. Somehow, he managed to stay around Game Central Station, and eventually made it to Sugar Rush, where he disguised himself as King Candy.
10. The cybug that Ralph brings with him from Hero's Duty multiplies and the viruses begin attacking Sugar Rush. Breaking the stalactites made of Mentos at the top of Diet Cola Hot Springs, Ralph causes a chain reaction that saves Sugar Rush. Attracted to the geyser of cola, the cybugs fly into them to their deaths. What term from Hero's Duty is used to describe what the cybugs fly into?

Answer: A beacon

In Hero's Duty, the cybugs are attracted to the beacon at the top of the tower which kills them. Cybugs are viruses that do not understand that they are in a game. They need to be removed after every game. The soldiers in the game use this to kill them off to reset the game for the next player. Since there is no beacon in Sugar Rush, Ralph makes one with the Mentos and cola.

It causes all the cybugs to be attracted to the light, including the one that ate King Candy/Turbo. With Turbo gone, Vanellope crosses the finish line and the game resets.

The racers and citizens of Sugar Rush regain their memory and remember that Vanellope was actually their princess before Turbo took over! After regaining their memory, Vanellope says that she will be president in a democracy rather than a princess.
