Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What song contains the following line: "Don't look at me like I am a monster."?

Answer: Vicarious

"Vicarious" was the first single to be released from "10,000 Days".
2. What song contains the following line: "Ten thousand days in the fire is long enough. You're going home."?

Answer: 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2)

This line is from "10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)", the most beautiful song written by Maynard, in my personal opinion. The song is rumored to be about the death of his mother, and the song even refers to her by name: Judith Marie.
3. What song contains the following line: "Why did Father give these humans free will?"?

Answer: Right in Two

This song is very different from much of Tool's work. It really showcases their versatility and ability to branch out artistically. Great song!
4. "10,000 Days" debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States.

Answer: True

Of course it did! "Lateralus" also entered the charts at number one.
5. What song contains the following line: He said "You are the chosen one, the one who will deliver the message."?

Answer: Rosetta Stoned

The Rosetta Stone is an Egyptian artifact which paved the way for linguistics to translate ancient hieroglyphics. As a result, Rosetta Stone is also the name for a popular language-learning program.
6. The song "Lipan Conjuring" has no words.

Answer: True

The song is also the shortest track, coming in at only 1:11. The Lipans are a subgroup of the Apaches in Texas, which explains the Indian-like sound effects.
7. Which of the following songs was nominated for a Grammy award?

Answer: Both

Both songs were nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance.
8. What song contains the following line: "Feast like a sultan, I do."?

Answer: Jambi

Jambi is an Indonesian province located in Sumatra.
9. What song contains the following line: "Eyeballs deep in muddy waters."?

Answer: The Pot

Despite the reference to being high, "The Pot" actually refers to someone being a hypocrite, a.k.a. the pot calling the kettle black. Get it?
10. Alex Grey provided the artwork for the album.

Answer: True

Alex Grey also provided the artwork for "Lateralus."
