The song was "Misery" from The Beatles' 1963 album "Please Please Me". In 1963 The Beatles were on tour supporting singer Helen Shapiro. John Lennon and Paul McCartney approached her A&R man, the producer Norrie Paramor and offered him the song for Helen Shapiro to record. Paramor turned them down without even telling Shapiro about the song.

Kenny Lynch, who was on the same show, recorded the song and became the first singer to record a Lennon/McCartney song. Unfortunately for Kenny it failed to chart.

Boxer John Anthony Conteh won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games. He turned professional and between 1973 and 1974. held the European, British and Commonwealth titles at light-heavyweight. He also held the WBC light-heavyweight title from 1974 to 1978.

Conteh was awarded an MBE for services to boxing at the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2017.

Sir Michael Parkinson CBE was the featured talk show host on the album cover. Described as "the great British talk show host" by the UK newspaper "The Guardian", he hosted his talk show "Parkinson" from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007.

Michael Parkinson was awarded the CBE in 2000 for services to broadcasting and was knighted in the 2008 New Years Honours List.

Sir Clement Raphael Freud MP, was a British broadcaster, writer and chef and is the brother of artist Lucian Freud.

He was born Clemens Rafael Freud in Berlin, Germany, in 1924. His family fled to Great Britain from Nazi Germany and both of his forenames were anglicised. He stood in a 1973 by-election which he won, becoming the Liberal Member of Parliament for the Isle of Ely. He was knighted upon leaving parliament in 1987.
