Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the song "Great Big God", what line completes the following? "He's higher than a skyscraper and he's..."

Answer: deeper than a submarine.

I can't think of anyone who's recorded this song, I just know I love it!
2. In "I, the Lord of Sea and Sky" the fourth line of the first verse is identical to the fourth line of third verse. True or false?

Answer: True

Yup. Not generally noticed, the fourth lines of the first and third verses are "My hand will save". Written by Daniel L. Schutte, no. 830 in "Songs of Fellowship".
3. In the song "It's Rising Up" what follows the line "It's rising up from coast to coast"?

Answer: From north to south.

"From north to south, and east to west, the cry of hearts that love your name, which with one voice we will proclaim" says what the older generation want to hear, in a more modern style.
4. In "Here I Am to Worship" what line comes after "And I'll never know how much it cost..."?

Answer: to see my sin upon that cross.

A totally beautiful song. Quite modern, though it's a favourite with the older people at my church - they love it. This was sung by Tim Hughes on "WOW! Worship Yellow" (2003) and his own album "Here I Am to Worship" (2002/2003).
5. In "Lord I Lift Your Name on High" does "From the grave to the sky" follow "From the cross to the grave"?

Answer: Yes

Can so easily be made a mess of. Too many semi-quavers. I love it though. This was written by a guy called Rick Founds and on 2004's "WOW! Worship Red", it was bought to us by Sonicflood.
6. In "My Redeemer Lives" the line "I know he's rescued my soul" starts the first verse. What is the next line?

Answer: His blood has covered my sins.

I LOVE this song. It totally rocks. Imagine 30 odd teenagers singing this. That's why it's so good. On "WOW! Worship Yellow" (2003) it was sung by Nicole C. Mullen and was written by Darlene Zschech.
7. In the song "My Jesus, My Saviour (Shout to the Lord)" what is the line after "I sing for joy at the work of your hands, forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand"?

Answer: Nothing compares to the promise I have in you.

One of my most favourite hymns to sing and play, this was written by Darlene Zschech in the 1990s and was one of her biggest hits. It makes you want to dance and praise the Lord at the top of your voice.
8. In "There is a Day" the line "The trumpet sounds and the dead will be raised" begins the second verse. Which line comes immediately after it?

Answer: By His power, never to perish again.

One of the most beautiful hymns I've ever heard. Nothing, except God, does it justice.
9. In the song "When I was Lost" what comes after the line "You know all the things I've ever done"?

Answer: But Jesus blood has cancelled every one.

The first ever song I sang with Christians my age so it's really special.
10. "Over all the Earth (Lord Reign in Me)"is a fantastic song. But what comes aftre the line "Every sunset sky"?

Answer: But my one request, Lord my only aim.

Brilliant song. It's really easy to confuse the words. I hope you were careful and got it right. Thanks for taking the quiz. God bless.
