1. What year did the Beatles perform their last live show (not including Apple rooftop show)?

Answer: 1966

The Beatles final show happened on August 29, 1966 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, California.
2. What year was the first Aerosmith album released?

Answer: 1973

New England hard rockers Aerosmith released their self-titled debut album in 1973. It contained the mega-hit "Dream On".
3. What Rolling Stones album was released in 1978?

Answer: Some Girls

After a couple of disappointing albums in the mid-70s, the Rolling Stones came back strong with "Some Girls" in 1978. This record contained hits like "Miss You", "Far Away Eyes", "Beast of Burden" and "Shattered".
4. Where did Led Zeppelin's last U.S. concert take place?

Answer: Oakland, California

Led Zeppelin's final concert in America was at Oakland Stadium on July 24, 1977. Drummer John Bonham, manager Peter Grant and two roadies were arrested for assaulting a stadium security officer after this show. Three days later the band's scheduled show in New Orleans, and the rest of the tour were cancelled due to the tragic death of singer Robert Plant's young son Karac. Zeppelin didn't perform live anywhere again until exactly two years later in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The band's final show anywhere was on July 7, 1980 in Berlin, West Germany. An American tour scheduled for the fall of that year was cancelled after the death of John Bonham, which resulted in the band's break-up.
5. When did AC/DC release their "Back in Black" album?

Answer: 1980

AC/DC's lead singer, Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning on February 19, 1980. He was replaced by Brian Johnson and the band released "Back in Black" later in the year. Many have speculated that Scott wrote most if not all of the lyrics for this album, though the band claims to have re-worked it completely.
6. What caused the death of T. Rex lead singer Marc Bolan?

Answer: car accident

Bolan died September 16, 1977 in London, England when the "Mini" driven by his wife crashed into a tree. T. Rex is best known for their hit "Get it On" (renamed "Bang a Gong" when released in the U.S.).
7. When did Paul McCartney announce he was leaving the Beatles?

Answer: April, 1970

One story on the demise of the Beatles has it that John Lennon wanted to quit the group after the death of manager Brian Epstein but was talked out of it by Paul. McCartney then assumed de-facto leadership of the group for the last two years then quit himself.
8. Where were guitarist Eddie and drummer Alex Van Halen born?

Answer: Holland

The Van Halen brothers hail from Holland. Alex was born in Amsterdam and Eddie two years later in Nijmegen. They moved to the United States circa 1968.
9. What band broke the Beatles' record for largest attendance for a single act live performance?

Answer: Led Zeppelin

On May 5, 1973 Led Zeppelin played to 55,000 fans at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This broke the Beatles' record set at Shea Stadium in 1965.
10. Where was singer/songwriter Tom Petty born?

Answer: Gainesville, Florida

Petty was born October 20, 1953. He and his band the Heartbreakers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, their first year of eligibility.
