1. In 2001, Blake Shelton had a number one song which shares the name of a US state capital, with these lyrics. Name the song. "If you're callin' 'bout the car I sold it If this is Tuesday night I'm bowling If you've got somethin' to sell, you're wastin' your time, I'm not buyin' If it's anybody else, wait for the tone, You know what to do."

Answer: Austin

"Austin" was the first release in Blake Shelton's career, and his first of many number one hits over his career. Austin reached number one on the Billboard US Hot Country Singles on August 11, 2001 and stayed there for five weeks. Starting in 2009, 15 consecutive Blake Shelton songs reached number one on the charts, helped by Shelton's appearance as a judge on the TV talent show "The Voice".
2. Which country music legend had a number one song a few months after 9/11 titled "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)"?

Answer: Alan Jackson

Jackson debuted the song that November at the Country Music Awards. He was initially hesitant to the idea of recording a patriotic song, or capitalizing on such a tragedy. The song debuted at number 25 on the country charts, the highest debut in a decade.

It reached number one on the Billboard country charts on December 29, 2001 and stayed there for four more weeks. The song won "Single of the Year" at the following CMA Awards, and won Jackson his first ever Grammy Award.
3. "Well, me and my lady had our first big fight, So I drove around 'til I saw the neon light. A corner bar, an' it just seemed right. So I pulled up." Not a soul around but the old bar keep, Down at the end an' looking half asleep. An he walked up, an' said: "What'll it be?" I said: "The good stuff."" Who said "The Good Stuff"?

Answer: Kenny Chesney

"The Good Stuff" was ranked number one on the Billboard US Country charts for six weeks in the summer of 2002. It was ranked the top song of the year by Billboard as well for the year.
4. Toby Keith and Willie Nelson had a number one hit in 2003 with a song in which they proclaimed "Whiskey for my men, and beer for my _______".

Answer: Horses

Willie Nelson became the oldest singer to top the Billboard country charts at 70 when the song reached the top of the charts on June 14. The phrase "Whiskey for me and beer for my horses" was also used in the 1975 movie "Bite the Bullet" starring Gene Hackman and Candice Bergen, and adapted into the songs.
5. Who partnered with Shania Twain in the country release of "Party for Two"?

Answer: Billy Currington

Billy Currington sang with Twain in the country release while Mark McGrath did the pop edition. The song did not reach the top of any of the major charts but it was one of the highest debuts on the Billboard charts of Twain's career and one of the first hits in Currington's country career.
6. In 2006, which famous pop/rock act scored a number one country hit with "Who Says You Can't Go Home" in a collaboration with Jennifer Nettles from the group "Sugarland"?

Answer: Jon Bon Jovi

The song was originally set to be a collaboration with Keith Urban until a decision was made that their two voices sounded too much alike, and Nettles was suggested as a better option. This was Nettles' first release apart from Sugarland. Urban's banjo can still be heard on the song. It reached number one on the Billboard Country charts on May 6, 2006.
7. In 2007, "More Than A Memory" debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, the first song to ever do that since the chart was founded in 1958. Which legend of country music sang the song?

Answer: Garth Brooks

Brooks broke the record set just a week before when Kenny Chesney's song "Don't Blink" debuted at number 16 on the same chart. As the criteria for Billboard's rankings are based on sales and radio airplay, the organization describes this phenomena as "nearly impossible".

The song spent only one week (September 15, 2007) at the top of the charts, and was Brooks' first number one song on the charts since 1998.
8. "Scrub me down, dress me up oh but no matter what remember I'm still a _________" In 2008, what did Brad Paisley say he still was?

Answer: Guy

Paisley describes the song as a playful way to describe the struggle between men and women, as the song describes males following typical stereotypes. The song was the first of three number one hits in 2008 for Paisley on the US Country Airplay charts in the middle of a ten song streak where all reached the top of the chart.

It stayed for three weeks at the top of the charts, from May 31 to June 13, 2008.
9. Who recorded a US Billboard number one country hit in 2008 with the song "Love Story", written off the plot of "Romeo and Juliet"?

Answer: Taylor Swift

"Love Story" was the first release off of Swift's second album "Fearless" and unlike the Shakespeare play, the song is written with a happy ending. The inspiration came from when Swift's family was not fond of one of her male friends, and she saw the parallels between her own situation and the play. Along with the country charts the song also reached number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, and the top spot on the Mainstream Top 40 and Adult Top 40 charts.
10. "Climb up in my lap and drive if you want to, Girl you know you got me to hold on to, We can go to town but baby if you'd rather, I'll take you for a ride on my ____ ______ _____" In his number one song from 2009, what did Jason Aldean offer a ride in?

Answer: Big Green Tractor

The song was Aldean's third number one song of his career and spent a month atop the Billboard US Country charts in September, 2009. The song was co-written by Jim Collins, who eight years prior had a hand in a similar Kenny Chesney song, his number one "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy".
