Answer: The Greatest View

'The Greatest View' was a big hit in Australia early 2002. 'The Greatest View' is already familiar to Australasian fans as the lead single from 'Diorama'. In a way the song combines all the elements of this album - an epic and memorable melody, a crunching guitar part, an intricate and unpredictable arrangement, some different instrumentation plus a brighter lyrical outlook.
2. From which song is this? 'I'll open my heart won't fall apart'

Answer: My Favourite Thing

It's a song about love and death, and Daniel has always had an obsession with both of them. So he combined the two of them, resulting into this song.
3. Who did the orchestral arrangement for 'World Upon Your Shoulders'?

Answer: Daniel Johns and Larry Muhoberac

Larry Muhoberac wrote with Daniel several arrangements; for 'World Upon Your Shoulders', 'The Greatest View' and 'My Favourite Thing'.

Answer: Hollywood

Although the response to the song was very good, they decided not to put it on the album. 'It just wouldn't fit the picture that I had for this album': Daniel....

'Luv Your Life' was actually written on the piano and not on the guitar. It's a song which tells you something about the way Daniel wanted to write during his ill period in 2001. He wanted to write positive songs so that he could gain strength from them to overcome his arthritis.

After working with Daniel on 'I Can't Believe It's Not Rock' in 2001, he was asked to play the piano parts on their coming album, and so it happened. He also played with them at the Aria's 2002...

"Across The Night" has always been the song which was envisaged as the opening of "Diorama". It's all about dreaming and has more than a touch of fantasy to it. According to Daniel it takes you into the different world of 'Diorama'.

Answer: Guy Pearce

He was the star of 'Memento', 'LA Confidential' and 'Priscilla Queen Of The Desert'. Daniel said this on the vid: "I wanted to do a really special video for it so it was great to be able to have Guy involved. I've always liked his movies and I think he helped us make something which is visually a lot more memorable than just another music video."

After a hard break with Murmer (part of Sony) records in 2000 silverchair was signed by 'eleven music'. According to their manager they weren't given the musical oppertunities and controls they wanted.

The band had always wanted to do an animated vid, but they never really planned one. That was until Daniel was so sick that he couldn't even get up from his bed. At that point they decided it'd be great to finally make an animated video.

'Diorama' means 'a world within a world' - an experience the band wants to achieve. "The orchestra stuff was a lot more in depth," says Joannou. "There were bass flutes, harpsichord, different percussion stuff."
