3. Dr. Dre burst onto the rap scene in 1988 with which rap group?

Answer: N.W.A.

Compton's Most Wanted was MC Eiht's group, The Lench Mob was Ice Cube's group, and BDP, which stands for Boogie Down Productions, was the duo of KRS-One and Scott LaRock.
4. What was N.W.A.'s 1988 album titled? This was the first album on which N.W.A. was credited with all the tracks.

Answer: Straight Outta Compton

"Staight Outta Compton" was also the first hit single off the album. "Back For The First Time" was Ludacris's first album released in 2000, "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" was Ice Cube's debut solo release, and "Compton's In The House" was a song on the N.W.A. album but was not the title of the record.
5. N.W.A. released their last full-length album in 1991, without former band member, Ice Cube. What was the title of that LP?

Answer: Efil4Zaggin

Ice Cube had left the group on financial differences which resulted in a small feud. "Alwayz Into Something" was a song on the album, "100 Miles And Runnin'" came from the previous release, and "The Trooper" was an album by '80's metal band, Iron Maiden.
6. After N.W.A. split at the end of 1991, Dre started his own record label with bodyguard Suge Knight, and rapper The D.O.C. What was it named?

Answer: Death Row Records

Arguably the best rap label of the early '90's, Death Row featured artists like Snoop Doggy Dogg, 2Pac, and Tha Dogg Pound. Bad Boy is P. Diddy's label which was involved in an ongoing feud with Death Row, Interscope is Death Row's parent affiliate, and Koch is an idependent label in the South.
7. Dre's solo debut on Death Row Records was released in 1992. What was it titled?

Answer: The Chronic

"The Chronic" was named after the extremely potent marijuana that Snoop Dogg introduced to the rapper. The album, one of rap's all time greatest, launched the career of not only Dre, but Snoop Doggy Dogg. "Doggystyle" was Snoop's debut, and "Death Certificate" and "Lethal Injection" are both Ice Cube albums.
8. Dre left the controversial Death Row in 1995 on bad terms. He then started another label and released an album with the same title. What was that name?

Answer: The Aftermath

Not a well known album, "The Aftermath" featured artists like Nas, Scarface, and Cypress Hill. Roc-a-fella is Jay-Z's label, and Tha New Row and The Takeover are just made up.
9. Which of the following artists became popular without the production and help of Dr. Dre?

Answer: DJ Quik

The two producer/rappers have worked together; however, DJ Quik was able to make a name for himself without Dre. Judging by the other three artists, you can see Dr. Dre is very knowledgeable when it comes to finding talent.
10. Dr. Dre released an album in 1999. He was at first set to release the follow-up to that album some time in late 2005/early 2006. What are the names of both of those albums respectively?

Answer: "The Chronic 2001" and "Detox"

Even though the album was released in 1999, Dre titled the album "The Chronic 2001" because it was said, "to be just as great and listened to two years from now...," "Detox" was still not released more than five years after its initial expected release date, and has become something of a legend to fans - will it ever be finished?
