Keith Emerson while with The Nice, was banned from playing at the Royal Albert Hall for burning the American flag. 24 years later he would end up playing there again with ELP.

Bernstein tried to stop the group from releasing it's instrumental version of the song "America" from "West Side Story". He complained that the group never asked his permission to revamp his piece.
