3. Who proclaimed "I've always said that one's enough to love now I hear you're bragging one is not enough"?

Answer: Elton John

This is one of my favourite Elton John songs - it's called "I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That" and was a hit in 1988. Elton has had lots of hits, not many number ones, but some great songs. Elton turned 60 in 2007.
4. In 1988, who sang "I don't know why it is you scare me"?

Answer: The Icicle Works

The song was "Little Girl Lost" by The Icicle Works. This song only got to number 59 in the UK charts, most of their hits didn't make it into the Top 40 - the only one that did was "Love is a Wonderful Colour" which achieved number 15 in 1983.
5. "Last night I was dreaming I was locked in a prison cell" was the opening line to whose 1987 hit?

Answer: Bananarama

I think if I was locked in a prison cell it would be a nightmare rather than a dream! However, these were the opening lyrics to Banarama's "Love in the First Degree". The song reached number three in 1987. Bananarama were Sarah Dallin, Keren Woodward and Siobhan Fahey.
6. Who told us "it's not the way you lead me by the hand into the bedroom"?

The film was "Billy Elliott" and the song was "Town Called Malice" by The Jam. This song was a double A side with "Precious" and was a UK number one. Vocals were provided by Paul Weller, who went on to have solo success in the 90s.

It was the start of "Alone" by Heart. I didn't know these were the lyrics until I checked them out for this quiz - you do learn something new every day! Heart are an an American/Canadian group who had hits in the 70s, 80s and 90s. This song reached number three in the UK charts.

It was REO Speedwagon with "Can't Fight This Feeling" from 1985. REO Speedwagon are touring in the USA with Def Leppard and Styx in 2008.
10. Last but not least, who had a UK Christmas number one in 1983 with a song that starts, "Looking from a window above, it's like a story of love"?

Answer: The Flying Pickets

I hope you weren't too confused there, as Yazoo did the original version of this song, "Only You", back in 1982, however it was the Flying Pickets who took it to number one in 1983. Yazoo's version only made number two in the UK charts.
