Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was Not a member of The Hooters?

Answer: Jimmy Peter

Bazilian, Uosikkinen, and Hyman were all members of The Hooters. I don't know if those are their real names or if they changed them as some kind of a joke.
2. What popular song by The Outfield starts with the line, "Josie's on a vacation far away"?

Answer: Your Love

It was on the trio's 1985 album "Play Deep".
3. What group had albums from the 1980's titled "Different Light" and "Everything"?

Answer: The Bangles

The Bangles were great! In my opinion, "Everything" is one of the most underrated albums of all time. If you know someone who has it, seriously give it a listen.
4. Which of the following is NOT an album by The Police?

Answer: Mufasa Cabeza

I made up "Mufasa Cabeza". "Mufasa" was a character in "The Lion King" and Cabeza is Spanish for head.
5. What movie featured the Huey Lewis and the News songs "The Power of Love" and "Back In Time"?

Answer: Back to the Future

Huey Lewis made his acting debut in that movie, telling Michael J. Fox and his band, "I'm afraid you're just too darn loud".
6. What song originally by Alice Cooper did Lita Ford later record?

Answer: Only Women Bleed

Alice's version of the song originally appeared on his classic 1975 "Welcome To My Nightmare" album. Lita Ford's version came out in 1989 and just doesn't have the same character as the original.
7. When The Monkees reunited in the 1980's, what was the name of their first single?

Answer: That Was Then, This is Now

"That Was Then, This is Now" was a big hit for The Monkees, despite no Mike Nesmith or Davey Jones on the song. Jones toured with Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork as The Monkees for the next few years, but he did not appear on that song. Nesmith did well financialy (his mom invented Liquid Paper and left him the money) so he only made occasional guest appearances with The Monkees.
8. What was the name of the band that featured Bruce Kulick (KISS) and Michael Bolton?

Answer: Blackjack

Blackjack recorded two albums, one of which featured their own version of The Supremes' song, "My World is Empty Without You". At the time Michael Bolton was known as Michael Bolotin. Several years later, Michael Bolton co-wrote the popular KISS power ballad "Forever".
9. What movie featured the Pat Benatar song "Invincible"?

Answer: The Legend of Billie Jean

Cool song, cool movie. It co-starred a young Yeardly Smith, who is best known as the voice of "Lisa Simpson" on "The Simpsons".
10. What song was NOT featured in the 1987 movie "Less Than Zero"?

Answer: "Walk This Way" by RUN D.M.C. and Aerosmith

Aerosmith did record a version of "Rocking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu" for the movie, but not "Walk This Way" with RUN D.M.C. By the way, the movie is terrible, but the soundtrack is pretty good.
