Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these two songs are the singles released from the album 'Clancy's Tavern' in the US?

Answer: Red Solo Cup, Made in America

"Red Solo Cup" wasn't even supposed to be in 'Clancy's Tavern' in the first place. It was only after the video got more than a million hits that they realized the success of the hilarious song. In the end, they decided to include it in the album and make it a single. Best choice ever made.
2. "There was a time you told me you'd _________" Fill in the blank from the song "Just Another Sun Down".

Answer: Love me forever

Maybe this has no relation at all, but one of the extra songs featured in the deluxe edition of Keith's previous album 'Bullets in the Gun' is titled "Sundown".
"Just Another Sundown", "Sundown". Get it? Okay, that was lame. Moving on...
3. In the song "Clancy's Tavern", what is the name of the dude that cooks in the kitchen?

Answer: Elmo

The song Clancy's Tavern is based on a real bar that belonged to Keith's grandmother in Arkansas. He used to go there as a kid, and sure as it is, the best songs comes from the singer's own heart and real-life experiences.
4. In the song "Made in America", what did the singer's old man have tattooed on his arm?

Answer: semper fi

Semper fi (meaning 'always faithful') is the US marine corps' motto. Keith's father served in the army and became his source of inspiration for many of his patriotic songs, specifically "The Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue".

Carpe Diem means 'Seize the Day', and is probably best known as the quote from the movie "Dead Poets Society".

The pledge of allegiance is also mentioned in the same song ("Made in America") in the next verse.
5. 'Bought Renee a ____ roses, all she did was make me ____' Fill in the blanks from the song "Tryin' to Fall in Love".

Answer: dozen, beg

The 'real' Clancy's Tavern is named 'Billy Garner's Supper Club', while Keith's grandmother got the nickname 'Clancy' since she runs a pub.
6. In the song 'Red Solo Cup', the Red Solo Cup is the best receptacle from...?

Answer: barbecues, tailgates, fairs and festivals

"Red Solo Cup" was so big a sensation that even the famous TV series "Glee" has picked it up for singing in one of their episodes. But of course, nothing really beats the ridiculousness and awesomeness of Keith's original video.
7. 'Seems like yesterday even though That was ______ beers ago' Fill in the blank from the first chorus of the song "Beers Ago".

Answer: fourteen hundred and fifty two

It's funny to note that Keith sings about drinking from Red Solo Cups while he drinks beer from a mason jar in his music video for his song 'I Love This Bar' a few years ago. But then again, he didn't write "Red Solo Cup"; it was co-written by the Warren Brothers and Brett and Jim Beavers instead.

They called up Keith one night and proposed the song. Keith thought that it was stupid at first, but couldn't get the tune out of his head, so he recorded it!
8. What is the name of the dancer in the song "Club Zydeco Moon"?

Answer: No name was given

Another funny note in country songs:
Keith sings about the traumatizing experience of a young boy in this song. While Vince Gill, on the other hand, sang about this experience in a much more sentimental and nice way in his song "The Old Lucky Diamond Motel". Different songs, different perspectives.
9. Which one of these songs is included in the album?

Answer: South of You

"Song of the South" is sung by Alabama, the famous country group.

"Way Down South" is a song by Josh Turner from his album 'Your Man'.

"South of the Border" is known for its cover by jazz legend Frank Sinatra!

(Didn't know that there's so many songs with the word 'south' in 'em, did ya?)
10. Four songs were released in the deluxe edition of the album. With which one of these bands did Keith play the songs?

Answer: The Incognito Bandito

The Incognito Bandito were also featured in the deluxe edition songs from Keith's previous album "Bullets in the Gun" (2010).

The Dancehall Doctors played with Tim McGraw in his eight album, unsurprisingly named, "Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors".

The Silver Bullet Band is famous for teaming up with Bob Seger, the legendary Heartland Rock singer, in a lot of his later albums under the name Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
Country singer Eric Church once opened up Seger's concerts back in 2006.
