Johnny Cash was born on February 26th 1932 to parents Ray and Carrie Cash. He was officially named J.R. with no first or middle name. He is the fourth of seven children - his five other siblings being Louise, Roy, Jack, Tommy, Reba and Joann.

The Opry promptly informed him they wouldn't be needing his performances any longer.
