There's a wide variety of song styles on this album, but the best way to describe Josh is Southern. He was born in Augusta, Georgia, where he formed a group called Inside Blue with his younger brother when he was just 11 years old. When Josh was 14, they released a CD with only 5 songs on it, but it was enough to grab the attention of many, including another Augusta native, The Godfather of Soul, James Brown.

"Angeles" is the kind of song that you would listen to on a road trip, possibly even to Los Angeles. In fact, that was how Josh came up with the album title. While attending college at the University of Mississippi at Oxford, his friends in the dorm would always say they're burning music "for the ride home".

This is an appropriate title for an album that has a variety of song tempos that can entertain you for the ride home or elsewhere.

A song many guys can relate to. It's about a guy who doesn't know what to say when he meets a girl, but as the chorus says, he doesn't want to be lonely for the rest of his life, so they get together and she "fades into his life".

Answer: "Home To Me"

After graduating from UM-Oxford, Josh became popular in such a small town. He would often do 3 shows a week in Oxford alone, and his popularity grew when he was invited to perform in other southern states like Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas before really gaining fame while recording on the Hollywood record label.

This is the first part of the chorus to "Travelin". The rest of the chorus is, "So just lie to me baby, my mind is hazy, now you're gone I'm havin' so much fun, yeah, yeah, yeah."

Josh didn't go wrong when putting this album together. With producer John Alagia, engineer Jeff Juliano, and musicians who have worked with artists such as Jeff Buckley (one of Josh's favorites), Ben Harper, and the Wallflowers, "For The Ride Home" will be enjoyed by many. Josh hopes the album will sell enough so that he can make a career out of music, something he has loved making for many years.

"Faces" is a song about how he likes the faces his lover makes at him, along with other things that attract him to her. Although it has a totally different tempo, the message of the song is similar to "Your Body Is A Wonderland" by John Mayer.

"Faces" was recorded in Josh's college town of Oxford, Mississippi. All the other songs were recorded at The Crab Trap in Easton, Maryland.
