Answer: The B-52's

In a lineup consisting of Kate Pierson, Cindy Wilson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland, and Ricky Wilson (deceased), the B-52's (recently changed to, "The B-52s) quickly found their groove in the new wave music scene; as the whole world danced along to their music.
2. Swept up into a solo singing career at a young age, who sang the anthem of 80's teenagers, "I Think We're Alone Now"?

Answer: Tiffany

Born Tiffany Renee Darwish, this 80's teen icon became known in the singing world at a young age, releasing her first album, "Tiffany" when she was 16. 3. What 80's vocal group made up of three women equipped with British roots released classic dancing songs like, "Venus", "Cruel Summer" and "Love In The First Degree"?

Answer: Bananarama

The original trio of singers was made up of Siobhan Fahey, Keren Woodward and Sarah Dallin. After numerous pop and dance hits, Fahey quit the group and was replaced with Jacquie O'Sullivan. After a few years with the group, O'Sullivan was overwhelmed with the press seeing her as "the new girl", and she quit Bananarama. Woodward and Dallin still perform together today and are still releasing new material.
4. One garage band with humble California beginnings became famous as the girls with big 80's hits, and even bigger hair. What iconic girl band released, "Manic Monday", "In Your Room", and of course, "Walk Like An Egyptian"?

Answer: Bangles

The women responsible for the national dance craze brought on by their number one hit, "Walk Like An Egyptian", were Susanna Hoffs, Michael Steele, and Debbi and Vicki Peterson. The Bangles also struck new ground as there was no designated lead singer. Everybody sang the songs, everybody played an instrument and everybody wrote the music.
5. This all girl band is known for their bright and cheery sound, illustrated in hits like "Our Lips Are Sealed", "Vacation" and "We Got The Beat".

Answer: The Go-Go's

The Go-Go's are often credited as the first all girl band that played their own instruments and wrote their music. Their lead singer is Belinda Carlisle, who also succeeded in a decent solo career, although nothing quite captured the bliss of "Our Lips Are Sealed". The Go-Go's have also released a fantastic greatest hits album.
6. This band originally formed in 1977 but carried on into the early 80s before they split due to the lead singer getting so much more attention. Answer: Blondie

This classic 70s-80s band has since reformed and are performing together again today with a slightly different lineup. The group is named after her iconic bleached blonde hair.

9. This singer was known largely as a solo artist, but was also backed with a band, which was consistent her entire run. She is most well known for the hits "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", "We Belong", and "Love Is A Battlefield", all of which accentuate her huge voice.

Answer: Pat Benatar

Benatar is known for being a four-time Grammy winner and having 19 Top 40 singles. Her song, "You Better Run", is known for being the second music video ever aired on MTV after the Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star". Benatar is also married to her lead guitar player, Neil Giraldo, who was the first guitarist ever seen on MTV, as the Buggles did not have a guitarist.
10. This hard rock band wasn't only active in the 80s but they've been producing material since 1973! Although the backing band have changed often in the decades they've been around, the two front women, sisters Ann and Nancy, have been in the band for practically the entire run. To which band am I referring?

Answer: Heart

Although Heart is known for the constantly changing lineup (they've gone through eight bassists since 1973), Ann Wilson has been the one constant through the years, and although Nancy Wilson went through periods of separation from the band, she's always come back.

Heart has made Top 10 albums in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. This five decade span makes them one of the most commercially enduring rock bands of all time.
