7. Some fans would notice that, at one point, the Pixies had a strange penchant for manta rays. Which of these lyrics about manta rays is NOT a real Pixies lyric?

Answer: Let's ride the manta ray down river Euphrates!

"Do the manta ray!" is from "Dancing The Manta Ray" and "My manta ray is alright!" is from "Manta Ray". Both of these songs are b-sides that appeared on the Monkey Gone To Heaven CD single.
The trick was "Let's ride the manta ray down river Euphrates!", my altered version of the lyric ""Let's ride the tiger down river Euphrates!" which is from the song "River Euphrates" (the 6th track on Surfer Rosa).
8. Complete this lyric from the Pixies' version of a song from David Lynch's "Eraserhead" movie - "In heaven, everything is..."

Answer: fine!

David Lynch's surreal film "Eraserhead" (released in 1977) features a lady living in a radiator who sings this perculiar song (written and performed by Peter Ivers). The Pixies made the song a regular part of their setlist. It also appeared as a b-side to their single "Gigantic" (released in 1988).
9. Which of the following songs' only lyric is also the title of the song?

Answer: Theme From NARC

The lyrics to "Theme From NARC" are indeed just the words "Theme From NARC". "There Goes My Gun" would be the same were it not for a few brief lyrics between choruses (including "Yoo-hoo!" and "Friend or foe!?"). Build High has plenty of lyrics as does Isla De Encanta (although the lyrics of the latter of entirely in Spanish).
Theme From NARC and Build High were b-sides from the Planet Of Sound single in 1991. Theme From NARC is the theme music from the classic arcade game NARC (the original music was by Brian Schmidt).
10. True of False? - The Pixies wrote a song containing the lyric "I've been lookin' for a woman to save my life".

Answer: False

The Pixies did sing this lyric but they did not write the song in which it can be found. It comes from "I've Been Waiting For You" which appeared as a B-side from the Velouria single in 1990. This is a cover version, the original was written and performed by Neil Young. It appeared on his eponymous solo debut album of 1968.
