1. Motorcycle Mama
Answer: Sailcat
Sailcat's number 12 hit from 1972 is not to be confused with the Neil Young song of the same name. Sailcat was formed by musicians from the Muscle Shoals, Alabama music scene. Wadsworth Mansion, from Rhode Island, took their name from a historical mansion in Middletown, Connecticut. 'Sweet Mary' was the band's first single. It peaked at number seven in February of 1971 but Wadsworth Mansion never came near the Top 40 again. They did, however, leave us with the memorable lyric,
Chickie-chickie-chickie to hop a freight
Chickie-chickie-chickie to hop a freight
Chickie-chickie Mary I'm coming home
6. Wham Bam
Answer: Silver
'Wham Bam' was actually shown as 'Wham Bam Shang A Lang' on the 45. It reached number 15 in 1976. Silver was a country-rock band which boasted Brent Mydland (later of the Grateful Dead) on keyboards and vocals. Comedian Phil Hartman designed the cover for Silver's first and only album.

Answer: William DeVaughn
Draftsman William DeVaughn spent his own money for a Philadelphia studio to record his song 'Be Thankful for What You Got'. Omega Sound liked the song and released it. It peaked at number one on the R&B chart and number four on the Hot 100 in June of 1974. Ludacris, N.W.A. and Ice Cube have all sampled the song in their works.
