"Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel" was a # 1 hit for Tavares, a group of five brothers from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Theirs was a very successful career. The brothers recorded fourteen albums: six went gold; two went platinum. Ten of their single releases hit the Top 20; six went to # 1. By the way, "Heaven" was written by 'super-producers' Freddie Perren and Kenneth St. Lewis.

Also written by the team of Freddie Perren and Kenneth St. Lewis, "Hotline" was the Sylvers' second biggest hit. ("Boogie Fever", a # 1 smash, was their biggest.) "Hotline", featured on the LP, "Something Special", hit # 5 on the Pop chart in 1977.

Carol's mom, Minnie, is also a cousin of the late Sam Cooke.

"Rock Your Baby" was a # 1 R & B smash in 1974. The song was produced by the team of Harry Wayne Casey (K.C.) and Rick Finch of K.C. & the Sunshine Band. By the way, "Rockin' Chair" was a # 1 hit for George's wife, Gwen McCrae.
