4. This song by a one hit wonder band, is also the title of a movie starring Audrey Hepburn. The song centres around a couple who are about to break-up, because they seem to have nothing in common. Which song is it?

Answer: Breakfast at Tiffany's

Deep Blue Something's only hit, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is the right answer. "Breakfast At Tiffany's" is a 1961 movie based on a book by Truman Capote. It starred Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly, a high-priced escort looking for a rich man to marry.
Interestingly, this was not the movie which actually inspired the lead singer of Deep Blue Something to write the song. It was actually 'Roman Holiday', but he thought "Breakfast At Tiffany's" sounded better.

5. Who sang the inspiring title song of the movie, 'Flashdance'?

Answer: Irene Cara

Irene Cara's chart busting song caught producers of the movie unawares as the soundtrack sold out faster than they could make the disks/ cassettes. The video, or at least the movie sequence where the song is played, has also been copied by artistes in their videos in recent times.
6. Connect the following: Spencer Elden, age 4 months A Brand of deodorant Buddhism Moulin Rouge

Answer: Smells Like Teen Spirit

One of Nirvana's Best known songs, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', was actually inspired by graffiti scrawled on Kurt Cobain's wall by the singer of another band. At that time, Cobain was dating a girl who used the deodorant, 'Teen Spirit', hence the graffiti, "Kurt Cobain Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Spencer Elden was the name of the child used in the famous album cover.
The song was also used in the film, "Moulin Rouge", with permission from Courtney Love.
7. Another connection, another song. Connect the following: The opening words of the Kuran A renaissance astronomer The Lord of the Flies An Arabic word meaning "a stock character who turns out to be a boastful coward"

Answer: bohemian rhapsody

All the connections are words found in the lyrics of the song.

'Bismillah': The first word of the Quran
'Galileo': the astronomer
'Beelzebub': Another name for the Devil meaning 'Lord of the Flies'
'Scaramouche': "a stock character who turns out to be a boastful coward"
8. The song "Woke Up This Morning", by the band A3, is also the theme song for which popular television show?

Answer: The Sopranos

Strangely enough, the song has nothing to do with the mob or even gangsters generally. It is about an abused wife, who shot her husband after twenty years of taking his abuse.
9. Which of Bruce Springsteen's songs was named after a 1958 Robert Mitchum movie?

Answer: Thunder Road

Funnily enough, Springsteen hadn't seen the movie himself, but he liked the title so he used it for this song.
10. With which popular fictional character will one associate the "Imperial March" tune?

Answer: Darth Vader

The tune itself is based somewhat on the well known funeral march from Chopin's "Piano Sonata No. 2 in B flat Minor". Ironically, supposed to be one of Hitler's favourite pieces of music. It is played much more from the second movie in the hexology (..that is the correct word I think;)
