Answer: New Moon on Monday

"New Moon on Monday" was a hit in 1984 for Duran Duran, one of the most idolised groups in the 80s. It consisted of a bass player (John Taylor), a guitarist (Andy Taylor), a drummer (Roger Taylor - not to be confused by the Roger of the band, Queen), a keyboardist (Nick Rhodes) and the singer (Simon Le Bon). None of the Taylors are related.

They first came to our attention in 1981 with the hit "Planet Earth", but it was their exotic videos of 1982 that made them noticed. "Save a Prayer" and "Hungry Like the Wolf" were both filmed in Sri Lanka while "Rio" was filmed in Antigua (the shot on the yacht sticks in everybody who lived in the 80s minds).

In 1986, five Duran Durans became three and John, Simon and Nick released their fifth album titled "Notorious".

In 1990, two new members joined the band to replace Andy and Roger (Warren Cuccurullo and Sterling Campbell). They became four when Sterling left the band after releasing the album "Liberty". In 1993, Duran Duran made a big comeback with one of their most memorable hits "Ordinary World". John left the band in 1996 and the band had little success after.

However, the original five members (all three Taylors) reunited in 2001. They released an album in 2004 called "Astronaut" and performed in Rome for Live 8 in 2005.
