The band made a movie named "Imaginaerum" in 2012. The original idea was to make a videoclip for every song, but it turned out to be something very different.
This movie features the band members of Nightwish in 2012, Tuomas Holopainen, Marco Hietala, Jukka Nevalainen, Emppu Vuorinen and Anette Olzon.
The main character of "Imaginaerum" is considered to be Thomas Whitman (portrayed by Francis X. McCarthy), a kind of T. Holopainen alter-ego.

Wolves appear a lot in Nightwish songs, being Tuomas Holopainen's favourite animal. This word is referenced, for example, in songs such as "Elvenpath", "Wanderlust", "Sacrament Of Wilderness" or "7 Days To The Wolves".
Sirens make their appearance quite often too, being a creature that fascinates T.Holopainen as well. Songs that feature this mythical being can be "Ghost Love Score", "The Siren", "Deep Silent Complete" or "Elvenpath".
Many state that the keyboardist is also a poet. Tuomas seems to refer to himself this way too. The word "poet" is referred in some songs, like "The Poet And The Pendulum", "Swanheart" or "Dead To The World".
The word "ocean" couldn't stay out of the list because Tuomas has a bizarre obsession with the sea, as he said many times. He also says that "ocean soul" is the best way of describing him and the band has an album called "Oceanborn" as well. Oceans and sea (or elements related to these) can be found in almost all songs.

Tarja Turunen was fired from the band at the end of the live concert "End Of An Era" in Hartwall Arena in 2005. She was replaced by Anette, who left the band too, doing only two albums with it, "Dark Passion Play" and "Imaginaerum".
Floor Jansen joined the band in 2013, along with Troy Donockley.
Elize Ryd is the singer of Amaranthe and Sharon den Adel is from Within Temptation.

"FantasMic" is a song that has Disney references in all verses!

In the live DVD "From Wishes To Eternity", recorded in 2000 in Tampere, Tapio Wilska sang the song "The Pharaoh Sails To Orion" and Tony Kakko, from the band Sonata Arctica sang "Beauty And The Beast". This song featured T.Holopainen in the male vocals, but he stated that he would never sing live again.

Answer: Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea

During the live DVD "From Wishes To Eternity" the band plays the Hans Zimmer "Crimson Tide/Deep Blue Sea". This song is just instrumental, so the singer Tarja Turunen wasn't on the stage.
On the DVD, the track comes after "Wanderlust" and before "Swanheart".

During the performance of the song "I Want My Tears Back" in Montreux Jazz Festival in 2012, Anette Olzon plays a tambourine alongside with Troy Donockley's bagpipes.
The setlist of the concert includes many songs from "Imaginaerum".

The passage belongs to the song "Creek Mary's Blood" from the album "Once". This song features the musician John Two-Hawks playing flute and singing/reciting.
"Creek Mary's Blood" was played in the live concert "End Of An Era" and John Two-Hawks made his appearing too, alongside the entire band.

During the making of the Amaranth video, while talking with some people that participate in the video, Tuomas states that he doesn't know the heavy metal American band Avenged Sevenfold.

Marco is the bassist of Nightwish, and entered the band after Sami Vänskä left. He plays the bass but does the male vocals in many songs along with the female singers too. However, there are songs that feature Marco alone, like "Taikatalvi" for example.
He was born Marco Tapani Hietala on the 14th of January 1966 in Finland.

Answer: The Poet And The Pendulum

The song "The Poet And The Pendulum", from the album "Dark Passion Play", features a verse with the name of the Nightwish mastermind:

"The Poet And The Pendulum" is a very personal song for Tuomas.

This song is divided in four chapters, each one with a different title.
The first chapter is only instrumental and the fourth one is a long poem recited by many different male and female voices. The fourth part isn't played in the live version.

Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer of the band. He classifies his drums as the "instrument of Gods". He stated in Nightmail of Nightwish, official site, that he loves his drums and that Nightwish represents everything he is, except for his family and background.

The original band members include Emppu, Tuomas and Tarja. The others came late (Marco after Sami left, Anette after Tarja left and Floor after Anette left).
The original idea was also very different from the actual one. Tuomas wanted only acoustic campfire music, not metal at all.
