Buddy Holly died in a plane crash in February 1959 along with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper (real name Jaye P Richardson). It was a tragic accident that took away one of the most talented and influential songwriters of his generation.

Marty Wilde is the father of Kim Wilde who went on to make her own career in the pop world. Perhaps her biggest hit was 'Kids In America'.
