Answer: 1978

'Powerage' was released on May 25, 1978. This was the first AC/DC album to be released worldwide on one date.
2. Who produced this album?

Answer: Harry Vanda and George Young

'Powerage' was the last album produced by the two former Easybeats' members. George Young is Mal's and Ang's older brother. Have respect for these two guys, since they helped AC/DC turn world-famous!
3. 'Powerage' is a lesser-known AC/DC album. How many singles were released from this album?

Answer: 1

The only single released, 'Rock 'n' Roll Damnation', was not even played live. AC/DC played very few songs from this album in live shows.
4. What sales status was the original album rewarded in the US?

Answer: Platinum

This was one of AC/DC's lowest sales status albums, and it was the lowest awarded album featuring Bon. Still, platinum status means that more than one million copies sold.
5. Which song was only released on the European version LP?

Answer: Cold Hearted Man

If you don't own the LP and can't get it, you can listen to 'Cold Hearted Man' on the compilation album 'Iron Man 2', as well as the box-set 'Backtracks'. It was, in my opinion, a very good song.
6. Which heavy metal band covered the song 'Sin City'?

Answer: Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister changed the lyrics from 'Ain't got a hold in hell, that's my belief' to 'Ain't got a hold in hell, that's Bon's belief'. Twisted Sister's tribute came out in 2001.
7. In 'What's Next to the Moon', whom did the engineer dream of?

Answer: Casey Jones

The lyrics from 'What's Next to the Moon' go:

'Engineer wishing he was home in bed
Dreaming about Casey Jones
Wide-eyed woman heading a mile ahead'.
8. What animal does Bon own in the song 'Down Payment Blues'?

Answer: Cat

As the verse says:

'Got myself a steady job
Some responsibility
Can't even feed my cat
Social security'.

Dogs are also mentioned in several AC/DC songs.
9. Who comes last in 'Sin City'?

Answer: The Poor

As the lyric says:

'Diamonds and dust, poor man last, rich man first'.

The song was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott.
10. 'Riff Raff' was a song on the album. What does term 'riff raff' typically mean?

Answer: Common people

Riff raff means 'common people', or simply 'the people', according to thefreedictionary.com. One verse in the song goes:

'I ain't doin' nothin' wrong
I'm just havin' fun
Riff raff
It's good for a laugh'.
11. What topic did the song 'Kicked in the Teeth' discuss?

Answer: Being cheated on

The song describes Bon being cheated on by a woman:

'Two-faced woman with the two-faced lies
I hope your two-faced living made you satisfied
Tell me baby I was your only one
While you've been running around town
With every mother's son'.
12. What three things does Bon NOT need, according to the lyrics in 'Gimme a Bullet'?

Answer: Drink, drug, or sympathy

The verse says:

'Don't need no drink,
Don't need no drug,
Don't need no sympathy'.

'Gimme a Bullet' was also featured on the European LP release.
13. Which song from this album was most commonly played at AC/DC concerts in the 1990s?

Answer: Sin City

'Sin City' was played live several times, as heard on 'Live 2 Disc Collector's Edition' and 'Backtracks, Live Rarities CD'. 'Live 2 Disc Collector's Edition' was released in 1992. The compilation 'Backtracks' came out in 2009.
14. Fill in the missing line from 'Rock n' Roll Damnation': 'They say that you play too loud, Well, baby, that's tough! They say that you got too much, Can't get enough! They tell you that you look the fool, And, baby, I'm a fool for you! _____'

Answer: They say that your mind's diseased

This is said in the first verse. The song was produced by Harry Vanda and George Young. It was released in 1978.
15. Which of these was a track on the US and Australian release of 'Powerage'?
