Lamb of God was formed as Burn the Priest in 1994 and hails from Richmond, Virginia. The band changed its name to Lamb of God after the release of its self titled 1998 release. The band is a part of a sub-genre of metal called The New Wave of American Metal.

The band's members are vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler. The song "Terror & Hubris In the House of Frank Pollard" comes from the 2000 release "New American Gospel".
