Elton and John were close friends; they even performed together at Madison Square Garden in 1974. Elton wrote this song after John was murdered in 1980.
2. In U2's "Pride (In The Name of Love)", who is the last verse dedicated to?

The song is about martyrism in general, but the last verse is about Martin Luther King.

Marvin Gaye was killed by his father on April 1, 1984. Jackie Wilson fell while performing in 1975, hitting his head on stage and falling in to a coma. Jackie never regained consciousness and died 8 years later in January 1984. This beautiful song by the Commodores is a tribute to these two stars.
10. The Beatles' "Hey Jude" is for one of the bandmember's children- which child?

Answer: Julian Lennon

Jude was Paul's nickname for Julian. Paul wrote the song to help comfort Julian during John and Cynthia's divorce.
