Though he grew up in Cortland, New York, he was born July 10, 1942 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. His real name is Ronald James Padovana.
2. Ronnie James Dio was picked to replace which Black Sabbath singer in 1979?

Answer: Ozzy Osbourne

Dio recorded two studio albums during this time, "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules". He returned to the band in 1992 for "Dehumanizer".
