Answer: Highway to Hell (AC/DC)

'Highway to Hell' first appeared on AC/DC's 1979 album of the same name. It was to be the last album the group made with lead singer Bon Scott. They bounced back, with replacement Brian Johnson, with the smash 'Back in Black'.

'Purple Haze' was Jimi Hendrix's second single, and it contains a deliciously original sound, which would be Jimi's trademark...making sounds that no one else had ever heard before or since. 'Purple Haze' is on his first album in 1967, 'Are You Experienced?'

The band shared their name with their first album, as well as their first hit. They released their album, 'Bad Company', in 1974. They got their name from a 1972 western starring Jeff Bridges.

In 1970, Eric Clapton released 'Layla', a tribute to his lovely wife, Pattie Boyd, who was previously married to the talented George Harrison, of the supergroup the Beatles. There are many covers of the song, by bands such as the Charlie Daniels Band and Derek & the Dominoes, which is my favourite version.

'Light My Fire' was the first big hit for the Doors, after 'Break on Through' only got to 106 on the charts. Both 'Break on Through' and 'Light My Fire' are on their first self-titled album, which also features their musical drama, 'The End'.

'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet' is the #1 single from B.T.O's third album, 'Not Fragile' in 1974.

'Like A Rolling Stone' is voted number one on 'Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 500 Songs of All Time'. Other songs on the list include 'Imagine', 'Layla', '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction', 'London Calling', 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.

In 1989, Alice Cooper released 'Trash', which is considered by some to be his comeback album after his previous ones were criticised. They are now considered cult classics. 'Poison' reached #2 on the U.S. charts.

'Piano Man' is a classic from Billy Joel's second album with the same title. Although the album sold four million copies, Billy only pocketed $7, 000 because of legal troubles associated with his previous recording contract.

The Clash's 1980 release, 'London Calling' is often hailed as one of the best albums ever recorded. The photo on the cover is of Paul Simonon smashing his bass guitar at the end of a show at the Palladium in New York, 1979.

'Hotel California' hit #1 in the U.S in 1977. The album of the same name is considered to be the band's masterpiece. It was the second last studio album that the band made together, before they broke up due to, well, unforseen circumstances.
