Answer: Highway to Hell (AC/DC)

'Highway to Hell' first appeared on AC/DC's 1979 album of the same name. It was to be the last album the group made with lead singer Bon Scott. They bounced back, with replacement Brian Johnson, with the smash 'Back in Black'.

This was a conversation between a Sun Records office assistant and an 18-year-old Elvis, as recounted in "Time" magazine.
Jailhouse Rock was a hit for Elvis in 1957.

'Purple Haze' was Jimi Hendrix's second single, and it contains a deliciously original sound, which would be Jimi's trademark...making sounds that no one else had ever heard before or since. 'Purple Haze' is on his first album in 1967, 'Are You Experienced?'

The band shared their name with their first album, as well as their first hit. They released their album, 'Bad Company', in 1974. They got their name from a 1972 western starring Jeff Bridges.

In 1970, Eric Clapton released 'Layla', a tribute to his lovely wife, Pattie Boyd, who was previously married to the talented George Harrison, of the supergroup the Beatles. There are many covers of the song, by bands such as the Charlie Daniels Band and Derek & the Dominoes, which is my favourite version.
