Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin all died at the age of 27. Cobain committed suicide while Morrison and Joplin died from drug overdoses.

John Fogerty was the lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). This American rock band was active from 1959 until 1972, producing several hits such as 'Proud Mary', 'Suzy Q', 'Bad Moon Rising', 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' and others.

Damon Hill was an ex Formula 1 driver but also he was a neighbor to Rick Savage of Def Leppard. After playing some riffs together Def Leppard decided to give him the chance to play the solo on that song.
Chris Waddle is an ex football player, John Cleese is a member of Monty Python not to be confused with the Greek Ancient people Periklis or Sofoklis :) ) while Marina Baker is an ex British Playmate.

Answer: Jethro Tull

Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath had the idea that whenever a major band was coming to Birmingham (city where Black Sabbath started) they should be outside the stadium, in their van, ready to take their place in case they didn't show up. One time (out of the many) Jethro Tull had a mechanical problem with their bus and they were late. Tony Iommi realized that Jethro Tull would not come (at least on time) so he proposed to the people in charge of the concert to give Black Sabbath the chance. And so they made their first big public appearance replacing Jethro Tull.

In 2004, Dimebag Darrell, the former guitarist of Pantera, was shot and killed on-stage while performing with his new band Damageplan. The man who killed him believed that Darell was responsible for the break up of Pantera and decided to kill him in order to punish him.

Chris Cornell was the lead singer in Soundgarden and Audioslave; he also recorded an album with the band Temple of the Dog.

In 1982, during an Ozzy concert, a fan threw a dead bat on the stage. Ozzy thought that it was made of rubber and so he bit its head and ripped it off. The result was that he was immediately driven to the local hospital to have rabies shots.
