Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the fist single off of 'The Sinister Urge'?

Answer: Feel So Numb

In 2001, 'Feel So Numb' hit the charts and did quite well for itself, hitting the number 10 spot on the 'Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart'.
2. Which of the following songs did not have a video to accompany it?

Answer: (Go To) California

Some cool stuff about the videos; 'Feel So Numb' features a short cameo by Sid Haig and Sheri Moon Zombie, who also star in Zombie's films 'House Of 1000 Corpses' and 'The Devil's Rejects'. 'Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy)' features a cameo by actor Tom Towles, who also stars in 'House of 1000 Corpses' as Lieutenant George Wydell. 'Dead Girl Superstar' also had a video but it was animated and could be found on Zombie's website, rather than on television.
3. From what song is the line "Well, she hit the ground like a bounty killer clown"?

Answer: Dead Girl Superstar

This is probably my personal favorite off the album. Zombie apparently considers the song to be a sequel to 'Living Dead Girl', a song off his album, 'Hellbilly Deluxe'. The song also features a guitar solo by Slayer's Kerry King, very few fuitar solos on the album.
4. A legend of rock was featured on the song 'Iron Head', who might it be?

Answer: Ozzy Osbourne

The title is supposed to be somewhat of a combination of Ozzy's 'Iron Man' and Zombie's 'Electric Head'. Alice Cooper and Zombie teamed up on a song titled 'Hands Of Death (Burn Baby Burn)' long before Ozzy and Zombie collaborated, and it can be found on Zombie's greatest hits album 'Past, Present And Future' as well as on 'Songs In The Key Of X', an X-Files soundtrack.
5. 'The Sinister Urge' gets its name from a movie from the 60's of the same name. Who was the director of the movie?

Answer: Ed Wood

Zombie borrows from many older films, B-movies and Horror flicks as well. The film 'The Sinister Urge' was released in 1961, and 40 years after its release, Zombie released his album of the same name.
6. After the recording and touring of 'Hellbilly Deluxe' the band roster of Zombie, Blasko, Riggs and Tempesta, went their separate ways and Zombie had to replace them.

Answer: False

Nope, the band stuck together until after 'The Sinister Urge' and the subsequent tour. The band however did part ways with guitarist Riggs and drummer Tempesta after touring. They were replaced by guitarist John 5 of Marilyn Manson fame, and drummer Tommy Clufetos, who has worked with Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper in the past.

The band has also since replaced bassist Blasko with Piggy D,of Amen fame.
7. Whats song is the line "The Devil's laughing in your face" from?

Answer: House Of 1000 Corpses

This song, which bears the same title as Zombie's first film, happens to have some pretty chilling imagery throughout the song including sound-bites from the movie itself.
8. Not only was the album named after a movie from the 60's, the video for 'Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy)' was also themed after another movie, which?

Answer: A Clockwork Orange

The video has Zombie dressed as 'Alex DeLarge' along with his 'droogs' from 'A Clockwork Orange'. The video is set in two of the scenes from 'A Clockwork Orange', they are the Korova Milk Bar and joyriding in a stolen Durango 95, making reference to the book of the same name.
9. Which of the following songs does not have sung lyrics?

Answer: Sinners, Inc.

While the first track of the album does not have lyrics sang by Zombie, it does have some words spoken from an older movie. It still is rather creepy to hear the voice of an old woman saying "Sin, sin, sin! You're all sinners! You're all goin' to a painful, everlasting, fiery Hell!"
10. What song is this line from? "Hey do you love me, I'm untouchable darkness"

Answer: Demon Speeding

This song made it to #13 on the 'Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart' in 2002. Very fitting that the song hit a top at 13, wouldn't you say?
