6. Which male artist earned himself a hit by covering the Sister Sledge hit "Thinking Of You" in November 2004?

"Studio 150" was a whole album of cover versions that Paul Weller released in 2004. He also covered "Wishing On A Star", and "Close To You". Sister Sledge took "Thinking Of You" to #11 in 1984, and Maureen Walsh achieved the same position with the song in 1990.

Lemon Jelly, who consist of Fred Deakin and Nick Franglan, re-titled the song "Stay With You" for their sampled cover version.

10. November 2004 saw Uniting Nations take a cover of "Out Of Touch" into the UK top 10. The song originally reached a mere #48 for whom?

White soul duo Daryl Hall and John Oates always performed better chartwise in America, with only "I Can't Go For That" and "Maneater" reaching the UK top 10 for them. Uniting Nations version of "Out Of Touch", with its driving backing track, entered the UK top 20 at #12 in November 2004.

As I write, a cover of the old George Michael hit "Careless Whisper" has just entered the charts, and a re-make of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" is expected to be the UK Christmas #1 for 2004. The covers and re-makes just keep on coming!
