He was wandering the streets of Hamburg alone when he collapsed and died.

According to the official version he was killed by a drunkard. However, historians agree that the assassin was an anarchist.

King Zog had been given the red Mercedes by Hitler, and German troops wouldn't dare fire at the vehicle in case it was Hitler's.
