Despite being taciturn in private, Coolidge was an effective public speaker.

Answer: Hovercraft

Cambridge born Cockerell began his working life in electronics, in particular working for Marconi on the development of radar. The 'little black dress', a wardrobe staple for many women, was designed in the 1920s and has remained popular ever since. The New Look was created by Christian Dior, and Mary Quant gave us the mini skirt.

Although initially dubious about the 'talkies', Chaplin had to adjust and went on to further success, with 'The Great Dictator' in 1940 being a highlight. 'This is My Song' was written for 'A Countess from Hong Kong', a film from 1967 starring Marlon Brando and Sophia Loren. Chaplin directed, but did not act in, the film. Petula Clark had chart success in both the UK and USA with all the songs listed, with prolific English songwriter Tony Hatch being responsible for the other three.

Answer: Ashley Cole

It pitched girls against boys, and the girls definitely won the battle, with the band going on to have great chart success in the UK, while the boy band sank without trace.

They were called One True Voice, in case anyone cares. Cheryl has also had solo success as a singer, as well as appearing as a judge with Simon Cowell on the UK edition of 'The X Factor'.
