7. I was born in Alton, Illinois, USA at a very normal 8 pounds 6 ounces, I grew to become the tallest human being ever recorded at 8 foot 11.1 inches. What was my name?

Answer: Robert Pershing Wadlow

At age 4 he was already 5 foot 4 inches. Sadly he died at the age of just 22 from an infection resulting from a blister caused by a faulty ankle brace. Recent evidence concludes what killed Wadlow was the same thing that made him a giant: a brain tumor pressing on the pituitary gland.

9. In 1986, Richard Branson set a new record for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. What was the name of his boat?

Answer: Virgin Atlantic Challenger II

The 72-foot powerboat cut two hours off the West-East time of 3 days, 12 hours, 12 minutes set by S.S. United States in 1952. It was Branson's second attempt. However, while Branson claimed the 'Blue Riband' title for fastest Atlantic crossing, Kings Point Museum, which administers the Hales Trophy refused to hand it over, saying that the cup was for liners, not powerboats.

His record was broken in 1992 and that new record again in 1998.

10. In the mid-15th century, Titchfield Abbey in Hampshire was the venue for the wedding of Margaret of Anjou to which English king?

Answer: King Henry VI

King Henry VI married Margaret of Anjou - a niece of King Charles VII of France - on April 23rd, 1445, following lengthy negotiations that included the signing of the 1444 Treaty of Tours. Their wedding venue was the church belonging to Titchfield Abbey, a minor house of the Premonstratensian order of Catholic priests that had been founded by the Bishop of Winchester in the early 13th century. Like many others in England, Titchfield Abbey was closed down by King Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries and later became the residence of the Earls of Southampton.

It then played host to a range of other royal visitors, including King Edward VI, Queen Elizabeth I and King Charles I before the building was abandoned and deliberately ruined in the 18th century.
