1. Who was the founder of modern Nepal?

Answer: Prithvinarayan

Prithvinarayan Shah lived from 1723 to 1775. He was the conquerer in 1769 of three kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Pata and Bhaktapur) which effectively united the country. Unfortunately, Nepal has suffered from periodic violence and war over the several centuries after his death.

Answer: Pablo Picasso

The "Demoiselles d'Avignon" was completed in 1907, a painting that shocked the art world. Even Picasso's close friends were seriously forced to question his judgement by creating such a work. Picasso used techniques he learned from studying the work of Cézanne and combined them with ideas he drew from African artwork to create this masterpiece.
3. Who is the Brazilian poet known for mysticism and extreme density of imagery, exemplified in the work Guidemap of Gabriel Arcanjo?

Answer: Piñon

Nélida Piñon wrote the "Guia-mapa de Gabriel Arcanjo" in 1961, when she was 25 years old. It is a classic of modern Portuguese literature and has been followed up by a number of short stories and novels, including "A republica dos sonhos" (The Republic of Dreams), written in 1984.
