Guccio Giovanbattista Giacinto Dario Maria Gucci was born the son a leather craftsman who lived and worked in the Tuscany area of Italy. Very little is known about the early years of Guccio Gucci but his interest in and devotion to that small family-owned leather shop remained throughout his life.

It was after his death (in 1953) and the business was inherited by his five sons, that the name "Gucci" became an international symbol of quality and luxury with a diversified product line. Well into the 21st century the Gucci brand value (worldwide) continued to grow.

Her noteworthy films include "Grand Hotel" (1932), "Anna Karenina" (1935) and her final film, "Two-Faced Woman" (1941). Her persona has been described as aloof yet passionate, mysterious yet mesmerizing, quiet yet compelling. After twenty years in the film industry she retired for unexplained reasons.

She would live the next five decades in her New York City apartment and make no public appearances. Her sudden retirement and reclusive life only lead to her eternal mystique.
4. Second American astronaut to fly into space. A part of NASA's Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs.

Answer: "Gus" Grissom

Virgil Ivan Grissom was born in Indiana (USA) in April 1926. It has been written that his interest in aeronautics began when he was a young man. It was then he befriended a local businessman who owned and flew his own private plane; he cultured Grissom's talent for aviation. Grissom would continue this aptitude with a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. This lead to his selection to participate in a (then) top-secret, special task force that became NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) for the United States government.

As mentioned in the question, he was a part of all three of the initial manned space programs for NASA. He was the commander of Apollo 1 (AS-204) when he and his two crew members died as a result of a fire in the capsule's cabin during a launch rehearsal. That was in January of 1967.

The Grammy Award winning song, "I Will Survive" was by far her greatest success from that era. As her popularity faded in the USA, she concentrated on performing at local clubs and AIDS benefits, especially in Europe, where she still enjoyed much admiration and support. In 2022 she competed in the American reality singing competition television series, "The Masked Singer".

At the end of that season he led the American League with 26 saves. Major League Baseball has not been known to recognize the contributions of relief pitchers as generally as maybe it should. As of 2023, only eight relief pitchers have been inducted.
