Vivien Leigh, best known as Scarlett O'Hara in the 1939 movie "Gone With the Wind", was once married to Laurence Olivier and was no stranger to love on the set. She and Clark Gable were friends in a quarrel-ridden cast for the movie, but there is no evidence of love developing between them. Leigh's roles were often strong literary heroines, such as Anna Karenina (1948), Antigone, or Cleopatra (1945).

Her role in "Gone With the Wind" of a wealthy, beautiful plantation owner was based on Margaret Mitchell's novel, but her lead makes the movie one of the most famous and successful of all time.

Tim-Berners Lee is often noted as the inventor of the World Wide Web, a system of documents coded in hypertext that can be accessed on the Internet. In March 1989, Lee proposed his idea to allow for information sharing all around the world, and he created the Web while at the CERN Particle Physics Laboratory in Switzerland.

In 1990, he created the first client and server, and also originated the first web browser, WorldWideWeb. On August 6, 1991, the first-ever website was created by Berners-Lee; his use of HTTP (a web protocol) and HTML (a language) set the standard for future web designers.

Harper Lee won the 2007 Presidential Medal of Freedom for her only novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird". Published in 1959, the book was an immediate bestseller and launched the author into fame; however, Lee didn't appreciate the celebrity and refused many public interviews. She also failed to write another book in her career.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" is told from the perspective of Scout Finch, a young girl in Alabama whose father Atticus is chosen to defend Tom Robinson, a black man, against allegations of rape, made by a white girl. Although Atticus proves that Tom is innocent, he is convicted by a racist jury and ultimately dies. That event, along with many other lessons, helps Scout and her brother Jem understand the loss of innocence and what it means to grow up. A minor character in the book, Dill, is often said to be based on Truman Capote, a childhood friend of Lee's and an author himself, most famous for "In Cold Blood"; a character modeled after Lee supposedly appears in Capote's "Other Voices, Other Rooms".

Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was partially responsible for the creation of many of today's superhero icons, including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Daredevil, the Incredible Hulk, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. Editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics from 1945 to 1972, Lee's work transcended the comic book world and has been made into several successful films. Lee even cameoed in some of them, including the Spider-Man, Hulk, and Fantastic Four movies.

Lao Tsu's (or Laozi) creation, Taoism (or Daoism), one of the major religious and political philosophies of early Chinese history, first gained official status in China during the Tang Dynasty, though Lao Tsu's had lived centuries before that. Taoism stresses the relationship between humans and nature and highlights the importance of harmony with all living things and the universe.

The Tao Te Ching, which was written by Lao Tsu, is essentially the textbook for Taos and explains how they can attain "The Way", or the most harmonic path a human can achieve with everyone and everything.

Spike Lee's career encompasses production, directing, acting, and writing. Li Bai (also Li Bo or Li Po), along with contemporary Du Fu, was one of the most influential poets in Chinese history. His wealth allowed him to travel around China during the Tang dynasty and share his poetry, which evokes themes of nature and love and is full of imagery. His disdain for Confucianism earned him ill regard from China's elites; it is Taoism, instead, that influenced his poems. He married the daughter of the retired prime minister Xu Yushi during his travels, which also saw him enter the court of emperor Xuanjong as a royal poet. Li Bai became well-known for his ability to improvise poetry without writing anything down, emulating musical masters like Bach and Mozart.

Li Bai's love of alcohol, especially wine, is noted in his poetry, and that addiction has led to the myth about his death, that he fell out of a boat one night while trying to touch the moon, and drowned. This isn't true, although the true nature of his death is unknown.

Answer: Robert Edward Lee

Robert E. Lee was the Confederate Army commander during the American Civil War, and is one of the most famous generals in American history. His success at the Battles of Bull Run (or Manassas), Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville allowed the outnumbered South to fight on for years after the war was expected to last.

Interestingly, in 1861, then-president Abraham Lincoln asked Lee, who had had a distinguished military career prior to the war, to command the Union troops during the inevitable civil war. Lee refused, because his home state of Virginia had seceded from the Union, and he preferred to fight for his homeland.

Initially the military advisor to Confederate President Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee took command in June 1862, and succeeded in holding off the Union until his surrender at Appomatox Courthouse on April 9, 1865.

Lee Harvey Oswald is remembered for his murder of US President John F. Kennedy on November 23, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Despite numerous government investigations, including the famous Warren Commission, a smoking-gun motive for Oswald's actions has yet to be found. Oswald joined the United States Marines at the age of 17, but after being court-martialed twice and scoring poorly on examinations, he defected to the Soviet Union in 1959.

In 1962, he returned to the States and settled in Dallas. On April 10, 1963, Oswald almost certainly attempted to assassinate anti-Communist Edwin Walker, but he was never arrested for the crime.

It was six months later that he succeeded in killing President Kennedy, a crime that shook the world and led to his own assassination one day later by a Dallas nightclub owner.
