Answer: Henry V

This is my second favorite quote. King Henry gave it to rally his men on the battle field of Agincourt in 1415. This is only one line from the much larger speech. The English were outnumbered four to one, and yet were still triumphant.
2. "Courage is not the lack of fear; it is acting in spite of it."

Answer: Mark Twain

Some, such as C.S. Lewis and many others, believe fearlessness and courage to be antonyms.

This was actually considered to be a joke in their time, but that is the epitome of courage. The Spartans were outnumbered roughly 20 to one.

TR is one of my greatest heroes. You can probably tell from the amount of his quotes that appear on this quiz.

This was somewhat a belief of the ancient Romans. They believed that to be remembered was the only form of afterlife, thus the story of the great Achilles and others.

Answer: G.K. Chesterton

A prolific author, perhaps he is best remembered for his 'Father Brown' mysteries.

Answer: C.S. Lewis

Yet another great quote from one of the Inklings. The Inklings were a group of authors in England that would meet in a pub named "The Eagle and the Child" J.R.R. Tolkien was also one of these men.

'The Man In The Arena' is a famous speech by Teddy Roosevelt.
The words of this great exhortation have gone around the world.
They were inscribed on the headstone of the legendary prospector
Harold Lasseter, Alice Springs Cemetary, Central Australia.
