Answer: George Burns

George and Gracie Allen were married in Cleveland Ohio on January 7, 1926. They were in vaudeville, radio, film and television. At first they tried having Gracie as the straight man but she was getting more laughs than George so they changed the act.
George was in several films later in life including "Oh,God", "The Sunshine Boys" and "Just You and Me, Kid".

He passed away March 9,1996 at the age of one hundred years one month and thirteen days.
2. He was best known for following the troops; who was this comedian?

Answer: Bob Hope

Bob Hope began performing in USO shows during World War II and continued doing so right through the Gulf War. Because of this and his other contributions to the industry he was given a special Academy Award five times.

Mr. Hope was in several films but was best remembered for his "Road" pictures with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour.

He passed away July 27, 2003 at the age of one hundred years, one month and twenty-nine days.

The Queen Mother became an inspiration to many when she stayed in the Palace, with her husband the King, during the London blitz of World War II.

She passed away March 30, 2002 at the age of one hundred one years, seven months and twenty-six days.

Even as a youngster Charles Walgreen Jr. was helping out the family business by first delivering prescriptions and then his mother's home made soup to the newly opened lunch counter. After pharmacy school he came back to work for his father, learning the business from the ground up. It was only after working for several years in several different aspects of the store did he become a vice president and then president upon his father's death.

Mr. Walgreen passed away February 10, 2007 at the age of one hundred years, eleven months and six days.

Anna Mary Robertson "Grandma" Moses took up painting when she was in her seventies due to not being able to needlepoint any longer because of arthritis. Most of her paintings were done on strong cardboard. She had her first one woman show in 1940 and her second just two years later. Never in her paintings would you find despair or unhappiness.

Grandma Moses passed away December 13, 1961 at the age of one hundred and one years, three months and six days.

This musical prodigy began playing the pump organ at the age of four. By the age of fifteen he was playing in clubs. During World War II he toured with the USO for five years. His life and music were presented on Broadway in 1978 in the musical "Eubie!"

He passed away February 12, 1983 at the age of one hundred years and five days.

In 1983 his company developed the first digital colorization process. He went on to produce many of the shows that we watch on the Disney Channel.

Although they were inseparable most of their lives Sadie and Bessie Delany were about as opposite as you could get. Sadie was a teacher who went along with the "Jim Crow" laws of the day without much of a fuss. Bessie on the other hand once drank out of the "whites only" water fountain to see if it tasted any different, it didn't. Bessie went on to become only the second black female dentist in New York.

Everyday the sisters would have garlic and cod liver oil at breakfast and at least seven vegetables with lunch. They also kept their lives as stress free as possible by not having a telephone.

Dr. Bessie passed away September 25, 1995 at the age of one hundred and four years and twenty-two days. Sadie passed away January 25, 1999 at the age of one hundred and nine years, four months and six days.
