Terry was the only child of David and Eileen Pratchett. His father was an engineer and his mother was a secretary. The Home Counties are English Counties that border London. Lancashire and Cheshire do not fit the bill, and Kent lies to the south of London.

Answer: David John

His full name was Terence David John Pratchett. His mother was Welsh and was born in Hay-on-Wye. He did not have any other siblings. He loved to read and he was a frequent visitor to the Beaconsfield Public Library.

Answer: High Wycombe Technical High School

Pratchett decided against attending a Grammar school. He opted for the Technical school because he thought that "woodwork would be more fun than Latin".
