Answer: Roald Dahl

Writing a script for a film that didn't get completed got Roald Dahl noticed by American film producer Albert Broccoli. He contacted Dahl and asked him to write the screenplay for this Bond movie and then also for the 1968 film "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Both films were based on books by Ian Fleming, the former being one of a series of spy books and the latter being a children's book. Dahl also happened to be great friends with Ian Fleming.

It then escaped from television with an album and then the making of the 1980 film. Aykroyd also co-wrote the 1998 sequel "Brothers 2000" although by that time John Belushi, John Candy and Cab Calloway, who all appeared in the original film, had died.
