1. Find the match for Eve. (Genesis 4:17)

Answer: Enoch

Eve was the grandmother of Enoch, the son of Cain.

According to Genesis 4:17, Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, built a city and named it after his son Enoch. The verse in the NKJV states: "And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son -- Enoch."

Abraham was the grandfather of Esau and Jacob, twin sons of Isaac and Rebekah. According to Scripture, Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a pot of stew and Jacob tricked his father Isaac into blessing him over Esau.

Scripture states Esau was as "a skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents." Isaac favored Esau while Rebekah favored Jacob, as per Genesis 25:28.
3. Find the match for Kish. (1 Samuel 13:16)

Answer: Jonathan

Kish was the grandfather of Jonathan, the son of Saul, the first king of Israel. Although Saul despised David, Jonathan was the best friend of the former shepherd boy who killed Goliath. 1 Samuel 18:1 states "Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."

Scripture states Saul hated David so much he spent most of his time in his later life trying to kill David, this even though David had no animosity for Saul. Had it not been for Jonathan, Saul might have been successful in his bid to murder David.

However, shortly after Rehoboam was crowned, the northern ten tribes broke away and he ended up ruling over only Judah. According to 1 Kings 12:8-9, Rehoboam's downfall was brought about largely because he ignored the advice of the elders and "consulted the young men who had grown up with him".
5. Find the match for Jesse. (2 Samuel 3:3)

Answer: Absalom

Jesse was the grandfather of Absalom, the son of David and Maacah. According to Scripture, Absalom led a coup attempt against his father David and almost became king. The coup attempt plunged Israal into a bloody civil war with Absalom being killed by Joab, the commander of David's army.

10. Find the match for Lois.

Answer: Timothy

Lois was the grandmother of Timothy, a young and timid worker in the early church, according to 2 Timothy 1:5. The same verse state Lois was the mother of Eunice who was the mother of Timothy.

2 Timothy 1:3-6, written by Paul, states in the NKJV: "I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands."
