Answer: Amaterasu

The full name of the sun goddess is Amaterasu Omikami, one of the rare instances in world myth where the sun is personified as female.
2. She was born of the tears of her father. What was her father's name?

Answer: Izanagi

Izanagi weeped when he saw the decayed body of his mate Izanami, who had been killed. He then created Amaterasu, his beloved daughter, from his tears.

Answer: Takamagahara

The 'High Celestial Plain' could otherwise be referred to as the sky, where the sun resides!
