Genesis 6:9-10 begins Noah's story. Wickedness was great on the earth. The Lord decided to destroy everything that He had created. The earth was corrupt, and filled with violence, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
2. Who is the father of King Ahab?

Answer: Omri

1 Kings 16:30-31 tells us Omri was evil in the eyes of the Lord, and worse than all before him. Ahab became king after his father's death. He married Jezebel, his only wife, and they served and worshipped Baal.
3. Who is the father of the blind beggar Bartimaeus?

Answer: Timaeus

Mark 10:46 tells us Blind Bartimaeus sat along the roadside begging as Jesus and his disciples exited Jericho, with a large number of people following. When he heard it was Jesus of Nazareth passing by, he began to shout in hopes that he might receive his sight, and he did.
4. Who fathered the "weeping prophet" Jeremiah?

Answer: Hilkiah

Jeremiah 1:1 says Jeremiah's father was a Jewish priest. Scholars refer to Jeremiah as the weeping prophet because of the many difficulties he had to endure. He was called to prophesy the destruction of Jerusalem.
5. Who is the father of the very old prophetess Anna?

Answer: Phanuel

Luke 2:36 says Anna was a widow of about 84 years old. She lived in the temple serving God with fasting and prayers night and day.
6. Who fathered Haman?

Answer: Hammedatha

Esther 9:24 says Haman was full of wrath because Mordecai refused to bow or reverence him. Knowing that Mordecai was a Jew, Haman devised a plan to destroy all the Jews. His plan backfired, and he was hanged on the very same gallows he built to hang Mordecai.
7. Who is the father of King Ahaz?

Answer: Jotham

Isaiah 7:1 says the Lord sent messages to King Ahaz to fear not, because He would defeat his enemies.
8. Who fathered Terah, Abraham's father?

Answer: Nahor

Genesis 11:24 tells us Nahor is a descendant of Shem, Noah's son. Shem began to have children two years after the flood.
9. Who is the apostle who was the son of Alphaeus?

Answer: James

Luke 6:15 tells us Jesus prayed to God all night on a mountain. When it was day, He called unto Him twelve disciples, whom also He named apostles. Two of these were named James and one of those was the son of Alphaeus.
10. Who is the father of Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Jesus?

Answer: Simon

See John 13:2 and John 13:26. Jesus revealed who would betray Him at the Last Supper. Judas betrayed Christ with a kiss for 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:15). When Judas realized he was condemned by his actions, he went out and hanged himself (Matthew 27:5).
